The acid wash is still there, just a little "mellower" after some use and a good cleaning.Nice knives. Did you remove the acid wash from the Barlow, or is that a really dark ironwood?
I should get one of those. The re-handle on yours is excellent.
Moving up to more land = Good.Hello porch! It's been a while. We moved into a new house with some land, I started with a new precinct, kids are always busy, and I try to get out and fly fish when not on shift or busy with those new house projects (that seem to just keep adding up).
For the last 6 months, I have mostly carried only small knives (as far as traditional goes). Pretty much it all depends on CV or Stainless for that day. Here are the two most frequent rotations.
Have a great Sunday!

Thanks! The pruner was a gift fromFirst, I have to compliment your little hawkbill pruner. Looks like an easy carry for just in case while puttering around the garden.
Second, I hope you get your Voos. Are you getting the barehead jack, or one of his “jewelry knives”?
Lastly, artemesia is a large genus of plants in the daisy family. Mugwort, wormwood, silver mound, even sagebrush and tarragon are artemesias. I don’t know anything about absinthe... Some say I’m borderline insane without it!
You forget?!?I forget I have this one. #1200.

Thanks, but I don't think it's a rehandle, although it could be. I bought it second hand with no box/paperwork, so I've never actually known what it is. Schrade made the 5OT with wood handles for both their Federal Duck Stamp knives and Ducks Unlimited. The knife I have doesn't have any badging, nor a blade etch, but otherwise looks just like the DU knives which featured oak handles.I should get one of those. The re-handle on yours is excellent.
I use cash at the gas station so I don't have to worry about card-skimmers. My Yaris only holds ten gallons, so it's not too big a pile of money to carry. This thread moves too fast for me to see / like all your beautiful knives but thanks for being a part of the internet that still has a modicum of decency. Recently have observed more folks than usual having to pay cash for their expensive gas. Speculate it's because their credit cards are maxxed out. The world is a tough place right now, hope you'all are doing ok.

I hate to admit but yeah lol. New stuff comes along, and I get distracted. They all in zip pouches in a jewelry cabinet so not looking at them. I told my wife once she should be glad that I don’t rotate my women like I do my knives. She didn’t think it was as funny as I did. Thanks! The pruner was a gift fromJack Black , and it is indeed a very useful blade without overfilling the pocket.
The Voos is the barehead jack, seller's pics show nice looking Rogers? bone with only one chip on the pile side. It should get here eventually, but ever since they consolidated two post offices into one, with separate staffing per zip code, things seem to keep falling through the cracks.I may have to change P.O.Boxes to a different branch.
Thanks for the plant info. It was sold as "Artemis" so I guess it could have been anything. Absinthe these days is just alcohol with herbal flavoring, but I didn't want to accidentally poison myself, not knowing what herbs could be toxic.
Carrying these today:
