Hope you're having a wonderful time GaryMy wife and I (and our dog) have been traveling since last Thursday, so I'm woefully behind on Porch-related goings-on. She's currently at the first day of a three-day quilt show in St. Cloud, MN, so I have at least a little time to post a couple of the knives I have with me. But I probably won't do too much catching up, since there are some trails along the Mississippi River here in St. Cloud that I'd like to explore while she's at her quilting stuff each day.
Canoe of the Week is a Case burnt amber model I got myself as a 70th birthday gift last December:

Those 5 Midnight Specials had a very elegant beauty I thinkYou are very welcomePrimble . Know that it will be well cared for . That was one of
Jack Black 's Midnight Specials . It did not look very nice until you showed it in light and then changes . I gifted 2 others that had more flash to my son , but I would not let him have this one . Carry it in good health my friend .
P.S. : Don't break a fingernail LOL .

It was. I lived in an apartment above a small business. I worked at the business for 15 years or so. I lost everything except what was on my back and in my car. And the dogs and cat. I didn’t have renters insurance and that wasn’t as bad as losing many knives, stones, tools that I’d had since I was a kid. It’s been 7 years now I think. Now I’m building memories with new to me knives and still enjoying the old timer. That had to have been painful!
Awesome knife and great deer pic, Jim.The new arrival again today...

I almost thought your HHB had been hanging out with Lucy, but then realized that was probably jam or some other sweet sauce.
Lol... He who comes up with the longest alliteration wins...
In your photos, my eyes always tell me on first glance that the knives are new - GEC or Case Bose, but then I adjust and see that they are the real deal, old, brilliant pieces.Cattaraugus Sleeveboard Whittler and Schrade Cut Co. Barlow for this Thursday.
