Beautiful knives, Barehead is best for this material. There was some Brown Snakeskin Acrylic a few years ago that looked somehow similar? Or are the delusions overtaking me....o_O:D

I don't think you are delusional. The burlap micarta has a depth caused by the large weave of the material enabling one to see multiple layers of fabric. This is similar to the visual effect acrylics have to the eye. Very hard to capture in a photo though.
