I like that Cuban Pen. That same one has been calling my name as well. How do you like yours?
Today, I have some loyal friends with me.

Thanks! The green bone on that sway back looks pretty neat, too.

The TK Cuban is about as big as I want to carry in the bottom of my pocket. It's definitely a big, sturdy knife. The pen blade itself is as big as some of the main blades on the small knives I carry.

Along with this one, I have a Northfield in copperhead bone; I think I might prefer the ebony one just a bit more, since the other has somewhat jaggy bone and there is so much of it.

I'm getting more and more drawn to this knife... How have you found it, particularly the convex grind?

Sam

The grind is one of the reasons I bought it. Bark river puts an amazing edge on a knife. I use their fixed blades for hunting because of that.

The blade on this one does sit off-center, but other than that it is great. Slim overall knife, makes it very easy to throw in your pocket, yet the blade is still stout.

I was impressed with the knife enough, to order another with Ebony. :)

Is that a five-bladed sowbelly? Quite a bit different from the nuts you usually favor.

Yes, it's a Moore Maker #5503, I do carry my chestnut peanut everyday, along with my Zippo they are a constant, but I carry a larger knife paired with the nut daily, things like Opinel # 9, Laguiole, Gec #54 Moose, couple of Moore Maker stockmans, larger Boker congress & stockman, scout knives, Svord etc. I'm a two knife guy ( sometimes 3 ) I do tend to use the nut for most task, but have always carried a larger knife, maybe someday I'll be a one knife guy, but I don't see that anytime soon.

Haha, yes it was a weird day indeed. In the late afternoon my nailbreaker helped while cutting down 3 small trees with my dad.
