Just caught up on about 80 pages in this thread. 😳 Sorry for all the like/replies to weeks-old posts! I need to do a better job keeping up!

Been absent from posting here lately. We had to put our beautiful dog June down on Thursday. We are all heart broken. But glad we have two more dogs to love up. Wow 14 years went fast!

Been carrying the 15 the past couple of days.

So sorry for your loss, Taylor. Thank you, too, for your kind words about our Maggie in the knives and dogs thread, which I don’t think I ever actually replied to.

Might be one of the best looking Opinels I’ve seen. Very cool!

Urban Jack today. I really like how these covers turned out.

They did end up a nice shade of green, didn’t they?

Spanish Aitor this morning. Lot to like about this knife: inexpensive, preferred size 8.5cm /3.5" Leaf blade is broad can tackle a large apple with no problems, stainless liners so no internal corrosion, brass pins look decorative but they can't give verdigris to wood , strong spring but easy to grab open (you have to guide it shut Laguiole style) Wood is Rosewood or Bubinga? darkened nicely. Finish is exceptional, scales are smooth, it passes the 'braille' test- no protruding or sunk pins, no liners above/below scales, spring liners flush and smooth, no gaps, never any play.

What a eulogy ,,,,well the downside is that it's no longer made and can't be replaced, would like an upgraded version with say Ram's Horn but....the carbon blade takes a good patina but does not stay ultra sharp for long, but then, this is a pocket-knife so it will do

Very nice, Will. I have a similar knife, can’t remember the brand off the top of my head, but I think mine might have been made somewhere a bit east of Spain. 😉 Still a nice pattern and handy little knife.

Friday evening walk!

That’s a cool hobo knife, GT!

#65. I like it and am excited about the white bone carbon steel coming next.

Awesome photo! I like that #65, but wish they’d done that one in 1095.

Wow Bart, I can’t believe how low that lake is. Around here, we call “low” a few inches. Does the water level fluctuate a lot?

That’s something that’s been interesting for me here in Minnesota. Last year there was a big hubbub about Lake Minnetonka being several inches low, and they closed the dam, and Minnehaha Falls (which are part of the creek that flows out of Minnetonka) temporarily dried up.

The (man-made) lake I grew up on in Arkansas could fluctuate several feet. There’s a highway bridge over the part of the lake near where we lived, and the lake surface could be 15 feet or more from the bottom of the bridge, but when the water’s high it can get to where you can’t make it under the bridge in a boat.

Beautiful knives, Jim.

It's a professionally-taken photo from a company website. This thread is for individual members to show the knives they're actually carrying, not for knife companies to promote their wares :(

I know we have the eye-roll emoji 🙄 but I feel like there should be an eye-roll “reaction.”

So that’s how they keep her going! 😁

Was gonna carry my 88 for a while, but this came in the mail today. Got it from a very nice member of the forum, and I love it! Thanks again.

Always thought the Muslin Micarta looked great on the #71; one of my favorite versions of one of my favorite patterns.

Very handsome Mr P

Or 'andsome as Bert would have said! 🤣

Perhaps one of the most convincing English accents by an American actor, eh? 😉

I don't think I've only ever seen clips from the movie Mr P. I've heard Dick Van Dyke being interviewed about his notorious accent in the film a few times, and thought it quite funny :D Poor guy! 🤣

Thank you my friend, those Belgian chocolate ice cream bars sound delicious :) I hope you have a great 4th of July :)

Wait, you mean it wasn’t a good accent?! 😲🤣

That looks tasty! Are those potatoes in there?

I’ve enjoyed your posts from your continental adventure.

Wishing all my American friends a very happy 4th of July :)

Cool photo, Jack. 😎

Thanks, Jack!
I'll carry these two today. I'm thinking about sharpening the fork a little bit.
GlZVaHc.jpg

They're cool knives, but not really the best designed fork, is it?

Love that pic (and knife)!! 😁

I’ve been carrying these two a lot lately. I should probably switch it up soon.

Superb pair of working knives Taylor :)
Toting these two from Sheffield for Saturday, the metal gem is a kind gift from Jack Black Jack Black . :)
Enjoy your Sheffield Sunday my friend! :D :)
I'm glad you're enjoying it, my friend.

I'm carrying this ebony big-un Lambsfoot, that you most generously gifted.

Thanks again Rachel, it's always great to see you carrying that Big 'Un, and I love that pairing :)

I think Elliott rolled his eyes too! 😁 ;)

Wait, you mean it wasn’t a good accent?! 😲🤣
Poor Dick Van Dyke, he has certainly taken a lot of flack for it over the years :D If you're watching The Boys Barrett, you might have noticed he has some competition from Karl Urban!😁
Cool photo, Jack. 😎

Thanks a lot buddy, I love those two, how're you finding those sauces?
I need to re-read Sandman again soon - it's probably been a couple of years since I went through it. A brilliant work of art.
I was just thinking the same Tyson :D

Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend, and that you have a great Sunday :) I'm back with my Hartshead Barlow today, along with a Sunday Special ;)
