Thanks for the bonus pics of your Germany trip, Harry! Thanks for the kind remarks GARY . I first had Andechs and Paulaner Salvator in 2017 while in Germany . I do not drink much beer , but when I do , I like to drink a Double Bock . The Andechs is brewed at a functioning Monastery in Andechs , Germany and is available in the U.S.A. , but is very hard to find . The Paulaner is readily available around here . I have a Top 5 Beers For My Taste and they both are on it .
A view inside their church .
This is some of the stairs going up into the Belfrey .
A view from the Top of the Belfrey . When we were up there we noticed that it was about 10 to 12:00 and the Bells would be ringing soon . We made a quick trip back down .
A view of their Beer Garden where we had a great meal which included some Andechs and Apple Strudel .
I do not remember if I had a Knife in my pocket or not . I doubt it because of where we were .
Harry
The cork-handled Mora I mentioned is a fixed blade and I don't know when I would carry it, but I certainly like the concept of a cork handle....
Thank you very much, Gary. I hope it's as nice in the hand as mine.![]()
I think the Hollyhock Parade has become "more sophisticated" over the years, as the kids' bikes were joined by a "marching band" (folks from the neighborhood who only play for the parade, I think), police cars and fire trucks, antique vehicles of various kinds, some commercial vehicles, and local politicians in convertibles. Thanks, Gary. Your parade looks similar to ours, but ours is only bikes and scooters.
That's a fine-looking pair Gary2-Blade Knife of the Week is a Rough Rider smooth tobacco bone copperhead (thanks, Todd):

All three of them. No "rule" that says you can only tote one at a time.
81 year old guys are allowed to do whatever they want... keep being you, my friend. My wife says that an 81 year old guy don't need to be doing all that stuff but I am not ready to sit around yet
Wonderful Case Barlow, GT.
