What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank ya, John. But how about that slip you crafted me? t gets a lot of compliments from friends when I take it outta the pocket, gets a bunch of use and is aging beautifully.
That's sounds great, and thanks. :)
I admire your slips several times a week, I just don't use slips very often... but they look fantastic in pictures.

Yorkshire Day has turned into an even bigger celebration than I imagined JJ ;) :D

Two amazing Sheffield slicers and a marvelous Yorkshire treat to start your day; Happy Yorkshire Day and Double Lambsfoot Day my friend!!!😁:thumbsup:

Oh, I think so. The blade's nice and thin, too.
I'd forgotten about the kitchen knives.
My order came in today. You’re right, the slipjoint is nice and thin, a little smushy to close. This one has a cheap plastic handle that pinches the blade, but has nice snap to open! I think it would be worth getting one with nicer materials but I figured I’d start out with the economy model.
I couldn’t resist the kitchen knife, it’s a great shape, and at 5” it should fit in between our bigger and smaller knives nicely.

What's the B&T in the background? Looks well loved.
It's actually a " patch knife " blade from Townsends I received as a Christmas gift last year and handled in stacked leather.
I went a hit fancier than they intend I suppose.

I think the blades are pretty darn inexpensive if you're interested, it was a fun project and can be pretty quick and easy if you do it their way.

86 Barlow today.

That knife looks nice with a little bit of wear 👍
Looks like fun Bart, and maybe a little hard work. I occasionally work the grill for the sports boosters during home games. It’s fun to see folks enjoying the food but it’s hectic at times. 😉👍
That’s for sure. I usually get a little stressed out in the late afternoon, but it’s worth it when it’s all done. One of the other dads has helped out the last couple times and we have it pretty well dialed in.
No…I’m not drinking yet, but Micarta Monday is a good reason to! 🤣 These are commemorative Cardinal cans to recognize the 17 years Yadi and Waino played together in St. Louis, it all ends this season. It’s been a good run. 😉👍View attachment 1887092

Two beauties there, Todd (the knives, not Yadier and Wainwright).
