What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

… becoming a habit …

been carryin this guy since I got it last week … after the first few days, I figured the honeymoon would wane, but each day I look at my rotation stable and this one just keeps jumpin in my pocket! Me stickin with the same knife for a stretch doesn’t happen too often, so I figure I’ll just roll with it … 😁

As ruts go, that's a pretty good rut to be in :thumbsup::thumbsup:

We'll get a late start to town today as I have an echo cardiogram scheduled for this afternoon at the hospital. Afterwards, we'll make the usual stops at the Holiday Market and 4-Corners Market but will be skipping the Wagon Wheel Cafe and getting a carry-out from our Mexican Restaurant Rubio's - carnits tacos with beans and rice. No special reason but my Tribal Lock Lumberjack seems like an appropriate carry.

Nice pairing Mike 😎👍
Thank you Jack. I hope you are taking it easy on your back today.

Thank you John. That little trout is a beautiful creature.

Hope the echo returns good results

Not "TODAY" literally, but... just returned from a six day trip in which I decided to "travel light," so all I took with me was my Vic Minichamp and my Case chestnut bone swayback jack. Overall it worked out just fine. The Minichamp was called on to open a few beers for family members, do a little fingernail cleaning and filing, and take a few notes. We visited some family who had just moved into a new house that had a couple of apple trees of unknown variety so, of course, we all had to check out the apples. The swayback jack handled the slicing and we found that, although still green, they were already developing quite a bit of sweetness. The swayback also was used to slice a French bread baguette and trim some ham slices for a picnic lunch. A longer blade would have been useful but the swayback did just fine. I almost selected a muskrat for the trip but couldn't resist spending time with this beauty.

Nice stainless #15s. I went with the bone and the Old Barn Chestnut on that run (2016, I think?). Ended up moving the bone along to to someone else. Should’ve gotten one in Tortoise Shell, I always like when GEC uses it.

Just this guy today

Simple, well-made, no-nonsense knives. I love Eric’s work.

I took out this Morris friction folder this morning. I already posted this pic but meant to post it in this thread. Well I could have posted a flipper over here by mistake so no worries yet. As the years go by my knives get sharper but not so much my mind. :)

Really cool through-pivot on your Morris.

Probably my favorite balloon from the rally, upside down Humpty Dumpty.

One of the few things in downtown Deadwood that wasn't a casino (yet).

Sounds like a fun trip. That photo reminded me of this one I took a while back. (It was early-pandemic, I had a lot of time on my hands…) 😁

More 'tradizionale' than traditional.

A Sardinian pattada (technically a resolza) that I am frankly too scared to ding up to carry much.

Beautiful resolza! I’ve always liked the bolsters on those. They remind me of the stitches on a baseball (though that’s obviously not what’s intended).

Really nice work on that bear!

I grabbed this burley GEC made Schrade for Saturday. :)

Those are a cool piece of GEC history.

Heading out later today for 3 days relaxation in Eureka Springs AR. Taking along this one.

Hope you’re having (or did have) a nice time. Eureka Springs is an interesting little town.

No…I’m not drinking yet, but Micarta Monday is a good reason to! 🤣 These are commemorative Cardinal cans to recognize the 17 years Yadi and Waino played together in St. Louis, it all ends this season. It’s been a good run. 😉👍View attachment 1887092

I’ve been carrying the NCM Sudbuster a lot since it arrived.
