What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Looks like you had some work in mind when you picked that pair of staunch companions my friend :)
Definitely, thanks a lot Jack!!! :)
Had this pair with me today :)

Your Dutch Army Swiss beauty is an outstanding partner for your Hartshead Barlow, great for all occasions!;)👍👍

I’ve been falling into that same pattern Jeremy, one at work, and switching to another when I get home. Great choices.
😎👍
That’s not my normal routine but not knowing how long we would have to wait on the pier before getting down on the boat I decided stainless was a safer choice.
That's a handy-dandy choice. 🤠
Thanks John.
I left Eastern Wyoming today and drove up through the big horns over to Cody Wyoming where I’ll stay with another friend. Beautiful drive today, a little rain up in the mountains which is always a good thing.

I hope you were able to see some of the cool historical places in Cody, Jim.
Headed downtown later to meet up with some friends for a couple of beers. This one will ride along. 😉👍View attachment 1910707
The micarta on that thing 🤤

Niice pairing mate.

National knife day is that a real thing, well that's 😎😎
Thanks! There’s a day for everything it seems
Sweet picture of some fantastic knives Jon.
😎👍
Thanks Todd
That baseball knife is sensational!
(And speaking of sensational, I came back from a couple of weeks where I didn't pay much attention to "current events" and found out that Pujols is going absolutely nuts this month - Go, Old Guys!!)
Thanks. The knife came from Tim. It is such a cool knife. Pujols and the team are certainly making the season exciting
Nice cup holder. Magnetic?
Thanks. It isn’t. It twists and expands to fit the existing cup holder. Now I can use my coffee mugs to and from work

You're pretty observant, Bart! That was definitely a safety precaution when I took photos of drains and sewer grates. I happened to find a piece of light cotton rope, about 7' long, on the side of the road when I was out for my morning walk while on vacation. I tied the ends together to make a loop, attached an S-clip to one end to clip onto a knife shackle, and tied the other end to the hammer loop on the carpenter shorts I typically wear during the summer. Not only did it relieve my anxiety of dropping a knife down a drain, but it also gave me a way to quickly get my knife out of the road if a vehicle came my way.

Haha! I thought it might be a knife loss mitigation measure. I can totally envision that whole situation 😁 I’m glad you enjoyed your vacation.
That’s really cool Bart. I bet he’s going to love it. One day he will be showing his collection to his kids and I bet he starts with, “Here’s my first knife that your grandpa gave me on my 10th birthday.”
😊👍
Thanks, Todd. I hope he likes it and hopefully he doesn’t lose it! I showed him my first knife when we were looking through my knives the other night (also a SAK).
I think that is a perfect First Knife. 🤠
Thanks, John. I think it will do everything he needs a knife to do.
I think you made an excellent choice!
When my son crossed over to Boy Scouts I did a lot of researching and searching for a good Scout knife (suffice it to say the offerings at the scout shop did not impress me). I wanted it to be something he could actually use, and that I could easily replace should it end up lost in the woods … I finally landed on a Vic Alox Farmer. It turned out to be a perfect scout knife and some of the other boys even followed his lead …
Well, he’s 22 now and still has that knife, and it functions every bit as well as it did the day I handed it to him.
I’m guessing you’re gonna be just excited as he is when he gets that gift!
Good stuff - congratulations to you both!
Thanks, Paul. That’s very cool. The Farmer was the other one I was considering. What kid wouldn’t want a saw blade in their pocket? My local sportsman store had the Pioneer X in stock and I figured the scissors are handy for a lot of things.
Pretty sure the next time I’m in the Ozarks I’ll be picking up one of those synthetic Ebony models with the CV and a punch. 😉👍
I’ve been eying that one too. It will probably be my next Case purchase.

Have fun, Todd. :)
Thanks John, we had a nice time. 😊👍
That’s not my normal routine but not knowing how long we would have to wait on the pier before getting down on the boat I decided stainless was a safer choice.
Good thinking Jeremy. 👍
The micarta on that thing 🤤
Thanks buddy. 😊👍
I like your style my friend. 😊👍

Hope you get one soon. 😊👍
I carried my Ettrick today.
