What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Made a big pot of split pea and ham soup. The Boker Gent just looked on, the work was done by the Santoku. That Santoku has some provenance. It was a gift from a dealer some years ago. The handles were made from Rosewood he got from Tony Bose. The blade is 440C, if I remember correctly. My favorite kitchen knife. The soup was excellent if I do say so myself! :D

Nice.
This cooler weather means that there will be something simmering in a big stock pot more often than not.
Cool mushroom and an even cooler old knife with a ton or two of character !!!:

Thanks! That was a gift from Harry. I think he knew I would like it.
It’s funny. The knife Halfstop Ron gave me (RIP), has no halfstops.

Love those old Remys you’re lugging around today. Amazing condition for the age.

Two Schrade day for me, nothing fancy, and nothing too pretty to use. 804 and 206.A573EBCD-F920-447C-9FED-CDE4F51F02DF.jpeg
The seed catalog called this variety “personal size butternut”, and they were right. They are very small. But my wife, my culinary tester, and I both agree they are maybe the tastiest butternuts ever. Definitely going to grow this one again, but a lot more. B4FCAFCA-7A3A-4255-8533-19850BEC8DB2.jpeg
The plan is to stuff these guys with a blend of cream chees and other cheeses like mozarrella, parmesan, asiago, and romano, and grill them. But they’re almost too pretty to eat, so for now, I’ll pose a knife on them.A63DF794-D166-4442-86F0-DA4678912ECA.jpeg

Gary Peregrin Peregrin I was scrolling backwards and saw your Cramer and figured it couldn't get any better than that until I saw Greg's Leslie Tomville Leslie Tomville photo of the T. Bose saddlehorn. Until I see that knife in stag there will be none others.
Thanks, Alan. That post of Greg's Leslie Tomville Leslie Tomville Saddlehorn caught my attention too!
Nice.

Have a peaceful Sunday folks!
Rainy day carry for me. I really like the Boker BFF, but prefer another knife clipped in my rfp ;) . I ordered a small leather belt sheath for the BFF late last night. I hope it's a good fit.

They did it again. Woke me out of a sound sleep. A rancher drove his cattle off the Modoc National Forest right past my house down to his ranch for winter grazing. What a racket but I love it every time they do it. If they'd let me know they were going to do this this morning I could have slept with a Stockman knike and been ready for them.

This is just a small herd. He'll mover quite a few more in cattle trucks from other sections of the forest.
