Swayback Case & Jacknife from Jérôme Bellon.

Good Sunday to all. :)
Many thanks, it's an old Pewter huntsman's flask, but why should spirits only be for huntsmen? ;) Plus a Lloyd recovered in Stag by J jsdistin The wood it's on is an old electrical pylon than was pulled down and replaced by a modern steel version, I 'salvaged' it as the electrical company only dumps them in fields or if they do take them away, sell for firewood. And now our electric prices are set to rise by a 'modest' 300 % on 1st Oct I feel it's just. (their profits are not capped though, course not) The pylon is much favoured by the Cat who loves to sharpen her claws on it. I went for a 5km walk around the perimeter of the fields with woods on one side, beautiful warm Autumn day and the Cat, who must have been a Dog in another life followed me the entire way, pausing to plunge into the forest for a while. She loves to walk, never come across a Cat who likes this kind of thing before.

That Bellon you show is a superb knife, I hope Latreille will be able to make me something as visually pleasing as that one, great combination - single bolster, Ivory coloured scales and patinated blade, few things better.

Regards, Will

I like your knife and your old flask.
Some cats follow their owners on walks quite far. My neighbor had one that followed him in the forest for several miles.
This knife from Jérôme Bellon is very pleasant in hand. I like it because it is more sober than his usual productions, too much loaded in damask for my taste. It is elegant for the restaurant and stands out from the classic French regional knives. It is one of my "Sunday" knives. 😆
I have no doubt that Jérôme Latreille will make you a beautiful knife. He works really well.
(Finally I ordered a Laguiole with a carbon handle... 🤷‍♂️ I don't know if I'll keep it but it seemed coherent to order it and to judge when I'll have it in hand... ;))
See you soon Will

Sweet little knife Bart. 😎👍
Thanks, Todd. 👍
Thanks, Alan. That post of Greg's @Leslie Tomville Saddlehorn caught my attention too!

Pea soup, chicken Vegetable soup, red Lentil soup, lentil soup, Seafood Chowder....... All regulars around here. Especially as it gets colder.
Nice harvest, Jeff!

Have a peaceful Sunday folks!
Rainy day carry for me. I really like the Boker BFF, but prefer another knife clipped in my rfp ;) . I ordered a small leather belt sheath for the BFF late last night. I hope it's a good fit.

Great pair, Gary. I love seeing both of those. 👍
Is there something going on today? Pirate themed birthday party? 🤣

You did a really nice job and the knife looks terrific ! 😍
There can be a lot of satisfaction in turning a knife into what one wants it to be.

Cool mushroom and an even cooler old knife with a ton or two of character !!!:thumbsup:😍

I really like your bone stag Sodbuster Ed !😊
Thank you sir! Just needs a good patina now!

Very cool knife... Case even jigs Delrin better than most can jig bone. 🤠
Thanks John :thumbsup::)

Hope your Hawks do better than the Chiefs. Muffed punts, missed field goals and extra points, stupid, stupid unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. The Chiefs played lousy today and deserved to lose 😦

We went to Hemly Cider's Impearfect Fruit Festival today. The Proper came in handy cutting the BBQ tray in half so we could each have a plate. I believe that Hemly's Original Pear must be modeled on what the angels in heaven drink. But we also got a bunch of flights to try everything else they're pouring here. My wife and I are huge fans of this cidery.
