I do recall seeing more pen blades worn down on older knives. On this particular knife the clip is easy to grab so it's my go to.I have several old jacks and Barlows. One thing I noticed is that the pen secondary seems to be the one that got used the most, judging by sharpening wear. Not always, but often enough to maje me notice.
