I don’t feel or consider myself old, but when I was a kid there was no such thing as a camcorder or computer…🫣
🤪
Your young.
I remember when TV's were black and white, with either a rabbit ears antenna, or an antenna on the roof. To change channels you had to get up, go to the TV, and turn the dial. (and maybe fiddle with the rabbit ears). When the dial knob broke, a pair of pliers was kept on or next to the TV. Some of the console TV's were mighty fancy (and large. I had one after graduating high school, as long as a couch, with a turn table, 8 track, (never had any 8 track tapes tho) AM/FM/FM Stereo/Short Wave radio, and storage for up to 100 LP's.)
It wasn't until 1963 when I was 08 that we got a 3rd channel (ABC). Before that, we had a choice of CBS and NBC. Of course at that age I thought the best shows were on Saturday Morning from 06:00 until 11:59. 😊👍

LOL! :D We were a good bit behind you here, colour TVs didn't come in until the early 1970's! :D When I was a youngster, we had a rent black and white TV, that took 'thre'punny bits' in a slot in the back. We couldn't watch the TV until my dad came home from work, and I was usually in bed by then. Not that there was much to watch, two channels, which ran for just a few hours a day, and the kids TV was on for 15 minutes, and absolute rubbish! :D It got a bit better later, but left me with a life-long disinterest in TV, which I haven't watched for decades. I did get a colour radio the other day though ;)

I know technically computers have been around a long time, but I just looked it up and apparently Camcorder was trademarked by Sony in 1981.
That’s probably when they trademarked the name “camcorder”; I’m pretty sure the Betamax camera hit in the mid to late 70s (with VHS close behind), because I remember walking through a department store with some friends (teens) and seeing ourselves live on a monitor for the first time … it was a Sony Betamax camera / monitor demo display and I remember it was weird to see ourselves displayed on a TV in real time … even then we knew it was a game changer.
😱

I remember asking my Father if we could get a color TV, he would just say, "Black and White ARE colors". 🤣
He had a voice operated remote control too, his name was John... He'd say, "John, get up and change the channel for me!"
My favorite accessory was the ultra high-tech tinfoil wrapping around the antennas... with that super high-tech addition, we could get three channels.
Nice to see that beauty again, Bart. 🤠
Very cool knife, Jack. 🤠

I was nine years old in 1963. Yep, we had that same long as a couch TV with turn table, etc. I forgot about the short wave radio. We didn't use it much, as my father would fool around with it some and it was always reporting in some foreign language that we didn't know. 🤣 I had a pocket knife though. (just one)
