What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Probably pushing the limit on traditional here. Was gifted this J.E. made clip from a co worker. Amazed at the workmanship and fit and finish.
I reluctantly post it here because although it passes for this forum I think, the knife is pretty modern looking. Traditional in shape and action but with modern materials. 20221118_152850.jpg

I don’t usually care much for camel bone, but that looks great!

…the two stockman knives (“stockmen” sounds awkward, doesn’t it?)…

That’s like trying to pluralize “Lambsfoot.” Easiest to just sat “Lambsfoot knives.” 🙂

New bakery in Elkhorn , Wi and we decided to see if their Kringle is as good as O & H Bakery from Racine . It is very close but no cigar .
Carrying my old Eye Witness Lambfoot .

Harry

Very nice, Harry. We had an almond Kringle last week, made by Racine Danish Kringles (they sell ‘em in Target stores here). It was delicious! I’ve never had one from O&H but I think that’s the brand I’ve seen in Trader Joe’s before. Might have to try one of theirs some time.

That's a very nicely done job. :) 👍 Hang on to the missing piece in case the patch ever comes loose, but I doubt it ever will.
I decided to leave this one alone because I like the way a previous owner just kept carrying the knife until the edges of the broken part was worn smooth.

That one’s definitely interesting as-is. I like it!

Huntsman and Schrade

Nice Schrade Scrimshaw lockback. That’d be a good one to have in your pocket next Thursday. 🙂🦃

Beer Scout and Conductor today.

Great pair, Paul! Not a fan of the bail?

After seeing that beautiful canoe 🛶 It Inspired me to pull this one out for today. 😀

Is that a canoe or a tugboat? 😁

We've had a lot of rain this week, but I'm hoping it's dry enough for me to go for a walk tomorrow :) Going to take these 3 with me ;) Have a great weekend folks

Nice trio, Jack. Hope you’re able to get out for a walk.

I really like that Micarta, just wish the knife had something other than two identical muskrat clips. 😁

I’ve got the Sudbuster with me today.

Amazing! Nearly a century old, and not only in superb condition, but still being carried  :)
Thank you kindly, Jack!!! As you know that old steel gets super slicey, too! :)
Have a good Friday folks :) Carrying this jsdistin Lambsfoot re-build, re-covered in African blackwood, and an Old Friend gifted to me by Barrett btb01 btb01 :)

Your re-covered Lambsfoot came out looking super sweet in that African Blackwood; the Teardrop Jack makes a mighty cool companion, too! 😃👍👍

The 'Scout" a favorite of mine and a gift from Rob Primble Primble years ago as we both sent assorted cutlery we felt the other could use :) paired with my Conductor today. Excited for the weekend and wishing everyone a good weekend:thumbsup:

So that's where that knife went. Now I remember ! 🤔 😊
They make a handsome pairing.:thumbsup:😍
Back in those days knives were easier to come by and we all were fortunate to find new and old for fair prices. I am afraid them days are gone forever. :(
Gave me a feel good to see you totin' it today ! 😊

Thank you very much Mr P :) I'm sorry to hear about your cold, and glad to hear that it is beating a retreat! :) I hope it's gone completely for the weekend. You take a very fine photo my friend :)

Thank you Mr. Jack. 😊

I've got a medium stockman in the pocket today.

Hope you get to take your walk tomorrow Mr. Jack. I missed out on mine since Tuesday. A fine threesome you will be totin' ..................... you might look a little lop-sided walking down the road, unless you practice the fine art of knife-weight distribution. 😊

Might carry it Thanksgiving Day too 🦃

That would be a fine carry for Thanksgiving, in my opinion !😍

That is a handsome and dare I say perfect jack Mr. P! Hope it wards off whatever crud is victimizing you. About the hungry felines - I read somewhere that if an owner croaks and the animals have no access to food, the dogs will wait about a week to start in on you but the cats only wait a couple days. Never could figure if that said more about loyalty, intelligence, or just taste in meat?

Thursday I was in a funk, so grabbed a couple favorites
ORxnAeOh.jpg

Formal Friday, as I was volunteering at my boy's school to help with their Thankful dinner and felt like I shouldn't look a nutter (too close to true). Hope everyone on the Porch stays warm this weekend!

You gave me a lot to think about, after I woke from my long nap. Elijah J. eating on my croaked old body !!! He better not ! This might require new training for him. 😲😲😊
He knows where the cat food is stored, so he might try that first. After all, he has been known to turn the water faucet on. 🤣
Your new Davison is a beauty !:thumbsup::thumbsup:😍

Thought I'd pair these two together that way I'll have a big one and a lil one. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Classy pair Tyler. Long pulls on all black can’t go wrong. 👌🏼
#68 and #35 today

Patina is workin’ just right on these! Two great patterns on these Tidioutes.

I've had this Northfield 14 for a couple of years, but have never carried it. I'm heading to Tennessee for Thanksgiving tomorrow, and thought I'd free it from its tube and carry it on the drive tomorrow 🛣️ Might carry it Thanksgiving Day too 🦃
Removed my "Clocks 4 Bikes" clock from the bike for the winter.

Quality choice Mike. I have a new found appreciation for the 14. This looks like a classic winner.

Carried this slender stainless beast. Thanks again JDF for the fantastic slip.

Nothin wrong with some Texas Osage. Lookin good!

Those 5OTs are cool knives. I’d wanted one for a long time — particularly with the green scales and carbon blade — but couldn’t find one in good shape at a fair price. Then I lucked out at the Janesville, WI knife show last spring and found a guy who had two for sale. One was a bit nicer than the other, and I was only going to buy it, but he gave me a good price on the pair, so of course I had to. 😁

NICE !!! ... another vote for 5OT. Handy dandy size for a LB and can be brought to a fine edge.
You do have twice as many green 'uns than I do ;)
