What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've been really lucky on the exchange lately! This Menefee showed up yesterday and went right into use, truly a wonderful knife and very pocket-able.

Sacto Sacto I really love looking at your 25! I'm not even really into stag but that one is 😘. Hope you carry it with a smile. I know it took me days to crank out the compliment, but life has intruded a lot lately.

Hi ya Harry :) My Eye Witness Barlow isn't even an older one ... but apparently inherited some ancestral characteristics LOL
Here's a video ... my first. I just created a channel on youtube just for this upload. There was an error trying to upload it to BF.

Wow those are bigger and heavier built than I thought, sometimes seeing something in someone's hands puts it into perspective. As a fan of the single blade 23s I kinda like stout springs they make you pay attention lol. Thanks for sharing.

That's a fine looking pair, Jon.

Small but capable one today, John.
Thanks Jeremy!
A very fine pair.
Wow, what a couple of great gifts 👍
True! I was blown away!
Thanks Pete! That is a mighty fine looking slip from Jeremy sbh06 sbh06 . Love the design!
Killer pair my man. You have a great stable of 14’s

Very nice. 🤠
Thanks, Buddy.
You know, I think this pattern could catch on. 🤪
Couple of lightweights for our walk. Sak Rambler and Gerber lockback.

Have to tell you I like your photos. As long as I can zoom in on my ifone, I don’t mind playing Where’s Waldo looking for the knives I know are there. 🤓
Nice to see the surroundings for your daily hike.
10 pints made. And a pint of “test run” syrup. Plus a juice with pulp batch to start a gallon of wine. Wasn’t a great year but it’ll get me through till next year.

I’m on my way home from returning my Grand Daughters to their home in NW Georgia. Their Mom and her husband have a cabinet full of mason jars of moonshine. Some relative has a still back in the woods.
Somewhere around 180 proof. Since 200 proof is 100% pure alcohol, I’d guess it burns a bit going down.
They keep a shelf full of jars which they’ve mixed with fruit to make it drinkable.

Neither of them drink much, so I’d say they have forty years worth.

When we lived in the Ozarks, Grandpa had a source right out of folk lore. There was a dirt track that was not on any maps off of a deadend gravel road, and if you were entrusted to know how to find it, there was a hollow stump. You put your money in the stump, came back the next day, and there’d be a pint mason jar of white lightning in the stump.
Memories…

I imagine your homemade stuff is a lot more drinkable.

Going to be quarantined for the next few days as my wife having spent the holiday with my daughter in NOLA tested positive for COVID19 yesterday. I stayed home and went to my son’s house for thanksgiving. Thankfully we are both fully vaccinated and she’s experiencing mild symptoms. We both managed to avoid covid for the last three years. Figured it was going to happen sooner or later. These two will go in my vest pocket today. 😃

Thanks, David !!! :) ... I like it too. For sure no half-stop-rock on this Eye Witness Barlow HA. But glad not ALL my knives have a bulldog pull and alligator snap.
The action is not dangerous but always careful not to break a nail ... or sprain a wrist LOL.
And I wouldn't hand it someone else, to try and whip open and closed. Like a youngster, lady or someone not used to pocket knives.
