I got mine (Serpentine Jack in valley green jigged bone) about an hour ago and it's a nice pattern and a good size for me. Personally, I prefer the pen in front of the main blade, but that's just a matter of preference. I'll sharpen it later

I found on mine that I can pull the sheepsfoot out confidently with my middle fingernail. The absence of half stops and the relative easy pull both seem to contribute to this.
