What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Stag Friday continued when this one showed up around lunch time. It's a pattern that's often seen as an automatic (like the Italian stilettos from Maniago), made by some of the people who make the 'traditional' Italian automatic stilettos (Falcon is a division of AKC), only in a manual version. This one's 20cm long (opened). I carried it the rest of the day, and it cut up a grapefruit.:D

Queen Mini Trapper. The true beauty of the Bird's Eye Maple is elusive to my poor camera; it has a lovely (almost iridescent?) grain that gives the impression of depth...

Got this old Simmons "Keen Kutter" jack knife with me today. Hard to find with nice jigged bone like this and
full blades. Fun to carry....imho

That is a fantastic knife!

Received almost a month ago now but I've neither carried nor shown this off...until today.

Lovely Northfield White Owl in Burnt Stag. I can play your game too now Alex :)

My newly modded No.5 is n my pocket today. Still pretty pleased with how it turned out. (not as awesome as the two other awesome mods we've had the pleasure of seeing lately though)

Very nice pal, I'll look forward to saying Hello to to this one :)

Got this in the post last night, so thought I'd carry it today. Just a table-top pic for now.

Somehow I know this knife, Jack... I looks like one of mine :p

Honestly - how do you like it?

I was glad to have your reccomendation Andi. I like it, it's a good size for me, and the knife has a good feel to it. The clip is both broader and stouter than on my Case Texas Jack, which I like. My personal preference is to have the pen in front of the main blade, but that's a minor peeve. It's a nice-looking knife, and fit and finish are very good. The blades didn't come very sharp, but the grinds are good. I like Jacks, and I'm sure this will become a firm favourite. Thanks for reccomending it Andi

Wow!!! What a great looking piece! Yep, you've definitely been holding out on us!

I'm in a mini trapper mood today, so I'll be carrying this wharncliffe model:

My laptop has been hovering on the edge of death for a while. Looks like it decided to take the plunge this morning. I had just taken a few photos of my 1973 Case 6332 stockman (which is my pocket carry for the day), along with its five year younger sibling, the 6232 jack. I had moved the pictures from my camera's SD card onto the laptop for resizing when the Dell began its endless reboot loop of death. Of course I had already deleted the pictures from the SD card and not yet saved them to the flash drive on which I store pictures. So, here is an older picture of my 6332 pocket pal for this beautiful Saturday.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I sliced open my index finger on the tip of the sheepsfoot blade while setting up for the photos. I'm working hard to not let it be one of those days where everything I touch becomes another problem.

Jack, that Tidioute 66 looks likes it's begging to be a workhorse for you. Nice knife! This Saturday it's back to the Outlaw Jack

Been a busy week for me. Spent all week switching between these two workhorses.

Now that the weekends here its time to switch out to something a little smaller and easier on the pocket :)

Nice procession of #66's guys! The size is just right, even carries well in my work khakis during the week. I carried the same 66 dark cocobolo stockman this past week on wooden Wednesday.

I've managed to find one of each #66 in different handle materials, the jack in Pumpkin Patch, the Calf Roper in cocobolo, the moose in red bone, and most recently, the muskrat in stag. I still need to photograph the Calf Roper and the muskrat.
