Replacing a hose bib this morning, then on the dentist (again). I actually lost my Davison last week, noticed it missing after I got home from the drill 'n fill Immediately called, and the receptionist found it wedged in the crack of the chair I'd been suffering in . I take this as a lesson not to put handbuilts in my watch pocket, and as a metaphor for what sitting in that chair does to my knife budget.

Now it needs a good bath ! Santa won't like the Merry Christmas knife all scruffy lookin.

I normally don't tell people what to do with their knives unless they ask, so I reckon I stepped right into that one !

All jokes aside, that really is one of the most attractive Christmas knives I have ever seen. I am assuming that it is the Mini Trapper size. I had one like it and thought it was nicely made. Then the horn covers curled and I gave it to my neighbor. He came back over and pointed out to me that the covers were curled up at the bolsters. Made me afraid to buy horn.

Clean up the crown jewel of Kissing Cranes and let us see and I will show it more love. No clean, you get 's.

Makes a good case for a pocket slip. You can tell immediately if it slides out of your pocket.

Just in from shoveling. As the crow flies, this pass is just five miles from our house - eighteen by road. This is what we're faced with this morning. Still more shoveling to do and quite a bit of plowing - oh heck, we're not going anywhere so, I might just put off the plowing.

Of course I cleaned it.
It's a full size trapper. They used to be made in Italy, but this 2021 is from China.

My horn lambsfoot curled up last winter when I didn't realize my humidifier was turned off. Some people have no trouble with horn, but I'm happier sealing it with something.
I'll go check that humidifier while i'm thinking of it.
