What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

These two for me today.

What?!?!
Those moose antlers are store bought? Plastic imitation? Probably not even genuine Dupont Delrin®️.🫣
And I figured you’d gone up to Maine and bagged a bull yourself😄

Even though that knife is capable of heavy duty chores, I can’t blame you. It’s too nice.
Don’t tell @Primble, but I only have one Primble knife~ a Belknap Hardware like yours. Schrade made version of their 124 Serpentine Jack. But it came to me well broken in, so I am cleared to use it without remorse.

That’s beautiful! Bocote?
I’d like to see the sheath…hint.😉

“Less Than Lethal Rounds”. They’ll raise a welt, but not break the skin?

That brings back memories of being a candy wholesaler. I once asked a customer why he was ordering a box of Necco Wafers every week, since it never was a big seller. He let me in on the secret. Each wafer had the same weight and size of a US quarter dollar coin, and worked like a champ in the automated toll booths. Of course, in wet weather, they melted and made a gummy mess of the machines. That was before they went to electronic transponders to ding you for using their roads.

Speaking of H herder , he usually makes the trip down to the Badger Knife Show, so @Old Engineer introduced me to Neal over pre-show breakfast. Nice guy with a lot of knife knowledge.

Last year, he and Barrett drove down together. Which was the first time I got to meet that young lad.
Ironwood! And I have zero leather working experience, so a sheath would take some trial and error. . .

Great end of the week knives. I’m really starting to pay attention to edc fixed blades lately. You have a great stash. Thanks for the compliments!
Thank you Jon! If you're looking for smaller fixed blade models/makers, that's definitely my thing. Your Burlap 47 is awfully drool-worthy, love the depth on that micarta.

T'was a Black Monday here, until the mail showed up and I mixed some Blue in with my Black ☺️.

My brother sold me this improved trapper for a very fair price. This is its first time out with me. F & F are excellent. And well… hotdog. 😂

Great to have a brother that has caught the sickness. I’m trying to get my brother there…I just can’t break him away from buying guitars and amps. That is a special type of sickness!
I apologize. Just seen this. Thank you sir. It's a GEC 78.

I kept it nice and simple today.

I’ll be watching and studying from the sidelines 🔎. I like what I see!

I like how leather fobs and pocket slips look. So every once in a while I use a slip for about a day and then remember that it's just a huge inconvenience.

I tied this fob Saturday night; it's probably coming off tomorrow, which might be my record for actually leaving one on a knife (I haven't had to do much cutting these last few days). Slips and fobs look cool, but are sort of anti-functional for me.

LOL! :D Great story Jeff! 🤣 I'll have to try and remember to pass that on to H herder ! 🤣

Two great fellers Jeff :)
I thought I would have a go at tightening the blades on my very old Opinels.

I found the pin hammer worked better than the ball pein.

Not to tight in case the wood expands when wet.

later I tried out some coffee bag's, this company produces great tasting Coffee.

I also tried out my new coconut 🥥 spoon,I like it.😁

Do you like those coffee bags? I hadn't had them for 40 years, but bought several boxes of their Lava Java brand from Costco during the first lockdown here. I thought they might be alright to take out hiking, but though I drink their coffee regularly, I was a bit disappointed with the bags, and ended up giving them away. I think I still have a box if you want them?
These two for me today.

Those two make for excellent slicers but the squirrel may be a tad wild as a pet :) It does make for a great Metal Monday addition to your HHB, though! ;) 👍👍
LOL! :D Thanks JJ :D

You're going to end up with a Yorkshire accent! :D ;)

Have a good day everyone
