What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice SEC baseball.

Thanks. I have a few of them, mostly BP balls from when I was a student at Arkansas and went to as many games as I could.

My one and only Canal Street and BF knife today. Church and some Dallas Cowboys football today. Just moved to Wisconsin so I will not be out in the elements much today. Miss Texas already. Have a great day everyone. GO COWBOYS!

When we moved from Arizona to Minnesota (almost five years ago, which is hard to believe), I decided to do my best to embrace winter. I may not be as good at it as the natives — I don’t cross country ski, snow mobile or ice fish… yet — but just having that mindset has helped me a lot. (That, and a good winter coat… and gloves… and boots… and…) 😁

Good morning, Jack. Be careful opening all the blades at the same time. Those demo knives are notorious for breaking springs. (maybe a result of making a million of 'em on government budget?)

Solid advice. I broke the spring on my grandpa’s old Camillus Demo knife taking a picture like that. 🙁

I had the girls’ knives in my pocket yesterday because we took them to see Santa, and I didn’t bother to grab anything different today.

The girls has a great time visiting Santa. The last two years we did virtual visits with the same Santa, and this was their first time seeing him in person (and Scout’s first in-person Santa visit ever). 🎅

I think you just helped me realize something
This is a white owl is it not?

I have one. And it just doesn't speak to me like it does others. But this pic is amazing.

I think what I am realizing is that people's pictures and conversations make me envious and covet thy neighbor's pocket jewelry.
When in reality I have this knife (in red not green) and somehow YOURS looks cooler.

Must be something wrong with me 😅

Its not a White Owl, its a #59 Shaffer Farm Whittler. So you're still alright nod.gif
Here's a White Owl, albeit with a clip blade:

Nice knife Mike. I like the subtle green and the jigging ain't bad.
Thanks Ed :thumbsup::)

I think you did a pretty good job on trying to match Rogers Bone .
You have succeeded in bringing back some good memories to me of our mutual friend Half/Stop Ron .We had too few great times with Ron and Pam . Ron was serious about knives but he also had a great sense of humor too . Like when we were at the Rendezvous and new people would ask where to go .

Great to see that pic again Harry! 😊👍
Harry I don't believe a day goes by on here that I don't think of Ron.
Same here buddy 👍

Great pics Barrett, looks like a cool Santa 😊 My niece is in her 30's now, but my sister has a photo of her as a toddler visiting some chain-store Santa. She looks absolutely terrified, and Santa has 'Love' and 'Hate' tattooed on his knuckles! 🤣

Osborne Bull. 14m tall famous old advertising across Spain.
Thanks for the link. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
After posting the photo, I was trying to remember where I had taken that photo. I ended up googling "big black bull billboard in Spain" and found that link; the story of the Osborne bull is far more interesting than I'd have guessed. I also found another link to a Google Map of Spain with the locations of all current Osborne bulls on it. I'm quite sure my photo was taken while I was on a bus from Sevilla to Granada.

A Pal Navy Utility Jack that I lucked into at the Badger Knife Show. It was before they had to skip a year, and Half Stop Ron and his wife were there. They’d made a nice trip out of it by staying with @Old Engineer and his best half, Nancy. Poor Tennesse folks were subjected to brats off Harry’s grill, and some pastry that cheesheads call Kringle.🫣 Joking aside, Ron told me that their hosts and the cooking were top notch.

Anyway, as we are compelled to do, we all sat around a table for coffee, and admired each other’s new knives. These things go through my mind when I tote this little jack.View attachment 2014211View attachment 2014212
It’s not easy to duplicate real Rogers Bone. I think I should darken my dye job on the TL-29. View attachment 2014252
Have a fine Monday!
Nice looking knives. I spent almost 10 years around Manitowoc area and never heard of Kringle. What is Kringle?

Giant Case copperhead and my 85 that was gifted to me by @sf fanatic to replace my lost micarta one. (Still lost) Trying my best to save this old wether, arthritis got him down then pneumonia set in. Made this makeshift sling system, poor guy is in a bad way. Hope I can pull him through.
Hopefully he pulls through
