Sweet burlap.

You would think, but it's smooth. If you're going micarta, burlap is perfect for your rough rider.
Bart, your top photo reminds me of a billboard photo I took while riding a bus across Spain several years ago. Not sure what was being advertised, but seeing that big black bull cut-out against the sky was quite striking! (Your porter looks real good, too.)

You are correct sir. I am blade blessed with these twoYou have nothing to fear with your duo Jon.![]()

I love the bone on both of these.A Pal Navy Utility Jack that I lucked into at the Badger Knife Show. It was before they had to skip a year, and Half Stop Ron and his wife were there. They’d made a nice trip out of it by staying with @Old Engineer and his best half, Nancy. Poor Tennesse folks were subjected to brats off Harry’s grill, and some pastry that cheesheads call Kringle.Joking aside, Ron told me that their hosts and the cooking were top notch.
Anyway, as we are compelled to do, we all sat around a table for coffee, and admired each other’s new knives. These things go through my mind when I tote this little jack.View attachment 2014211View attachment 2014212
It’s not easy to duplicate real Rogers Bone. I think I should darken my dye job on the TL-29. View attachment 2014252

Good morning, Jack. Be careful opening all the blades at the same time. Those demo knives are notorious for breaking springs. (maybe a result of making a million of 'em on government budget?)
I might just stick with my Pony Jack all week. Have a great one, everybody!
