What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

These two!

Two of the rivets on my trapper have been annoying me since I got it.

They are a little proud and catch on things.

I wasnt sure of the best way to sort it,decided to tap them down very gently with a decent punch and a pin hammer.

I then bowed some very fine emery paper and with the lightest of touches smoothed them down.

To finnish I applied some lemon oil which I had learnt about on here.

I am happy with the result.

Though I did get distracted when I spotted my 1944 WW2 wire cutters and remembered I wanted to get some HD wire to try them out. 😆

Very nice repair. Folding wire cutters are a new one on me.
Thank you!
I mostly use that blade on food. It’s great for example, in separating joints, as in breaking down a whole chicken.
It also is great on tough rope, or fibrous plant stalks. Just have to know how to sharpen it
Thanks. I imagine sharpening is a pain.
Done with my 2022 calendar. Put up my new one today.

Edited to add: Sausage and waffles for breakfast.
Nice one, Ed. Don’t see too many two blade lambsfoot knives.
Nice pair of knives Bart, love your photos.
😎👍

Can’t wait to see this project come together. Keep the momentum going Jon. 😎👍
Thanks, Todd.
I love your Boker Barlows, Todd. I just picked one up but haven’t carried it yet. I’ve been distracted by the bunny knife.
