What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Queen mountain man on the belt and Case whittler in the pocket today. The Queen is a big knife to carry and I doubt I will need it today but it rides well in the pancake sheath on the belt and the additional weight goes unnoticed. :)View attachment 2036301View attachment 2036302

A mid sized Whittler with a larger knife in a belt sheath is a very useful pairing. I know what you mean about the weight going unnoticed, when packing it that way.
Love your hand made pancake sheath !   😍

It is comforting to know that The Porch has a resident Certified Rorschach Knifeologist in our midst. I, for one, sleep more soundly at night knowing that. 🤣 🤣 🤣

😲 ...................... no no no ..............I ain't certified ! 😉🤣

Love that Mountain Man, Greg!👍
Thanks, Jim. I think I'm more impressed with the Tiioute Trapper you're carrying today, that bone handle is sweet. Is that an Oregon Trapper or a 23?

Thanks, Rob. The pancake sheath was made by a friend who dabbles in hobbies like knife forge work, leather work, wood bow and guitar builds among other things.
The mountain man knife needs a sheath, in the pocket alone it can weigh a fella down. :)

Thanks, Greg -- that's an Oregon Trapper in Frontier Bone.
