What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Anyone know a good psychiatrist...why I bought this I have no clue! Those voices in my head again.😱 Just arrived.View attachment 2072524View attachment 2072525View attachment 2072526
Without seeing any Pile Side and Top Down photos , I think you may have a pretty nice knife . Depending on the price , I guess that I would have bid on it . It looks like Stag , it has the metal end cap , and it looks like it just may have Integral Bolsters . That may very well have been made in the 1890's . Somebody loved and used it a lot . If it is still reasonably tight , I would sharpen it and use it .

Thank you Harry for your input. VERY cheap to buy....no bidding.
Surprisingly, this knife still has good snap to it. The only negative is some play when open. As far as the coat, seller listed as stag.
I will definitely enjoy it for what it is.View attachment 2072986

Looks like Integral Bolsters to me . I believe they stopped making them in the early 1890's . Maybe somebody can give you good advice on snugging the play up a little . Carry it in good health my friend .

Thanks again Harry. Will do alittle research on repairs. I'm very surprised by age estimate.

Great stag on that one, Harry.
Nice 88 Jeremy. 😎👍

Beautiful WT Bart. They’re amazing aren’t they? 😎👍
Thanks Todd.

Very knice. That Jack with the long pull has to be a rare one! 👌

Look forward to seeing you, Greg!
Rendezvous is usually over breakfast at Cracker Barrel. 😋
Thanks, Jeff.
Getting to know you fellas in person over a selection of one of Cracker Barrels southern breakfast plates sounds great. I'll check with the one who keeps our social calendar,
(wife), to clear that day. :)

Much sweetness in that pair of knives!🤠
Thanks, David. :)
Someone prior to me pocketed the Ulster for years judging by how worn smooth the jigged bone is now. And whoever had the Camillus prior to me seems to
have babied or at least used it lightly. Both are still very snappy and an old knife with good blade snap is a pleasure to have.

I consider myself born again in sarcasm when I became a dad.
Hahahaha! Amen brother!
That’s a great pair of knives, Jon.

Great and versatile group, GT.
