What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

May I ask what toxified your soil? Or should I say dirt, since soil implies full of micro life…
Anything you can do to fix it, like adding organic stuff, or does it have to be scraped out?
we live just downwind of a factory that for 20 years violated local and federal emissions codes. Our Department of Environmental Quality has identified several other properties that are too contaminated with (if I remember correctly) dioxins. It's been 3 years since DEQ started this, hopefully this year they'll actually get it done. 20230214_090019_copy_1512x1512.jpg

It’s been a hot minute since I posted anything. Really digging the bunny knife lately.

When I got up this morning every thing was "hunky-dory". The sun wasn't shining but it was a relatively bright day. So, I started up the ole computer, edited a few pictures, looked out the window, and slumped in my chair. It has started to snow. Right now it's at blizzard level three but looks like it could reach level one any time. I've broken out this old Case Capped Jack to carry. It's a tough, durable, knife and should fend off any snow flakes it runs across nicely. Sausage and Biscuits for breakfast.

Someone’s got deep (or a lot of) pockets... 🤣 Very nice, Paul.
A lot, maybe. Deep, no. lol. Thanks Jeremy

Ain't many around here got the money kind of deep pockets. If they did, it'd be gone in short order. Deep pockets for knives ................ indeed !!! ;) 🤣
As Charlie says "Buy two knives and call me in the morning." 🤣
Long live the enablers ! 😍 🤣

The BSA knife reminds me of a model I had years ago that was the Scout "Whittling" knife. Do you happen to know the background on yours?

No history or personal connections to this one. I just happened to place a low bid that no one else bid on.😁
I was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Along with the Handbook, uniforms, mess kit, canteen, Official BSA Plumb hatchet, and orher neccesities, Mom and Dad bought the Official Cub Scout camper knife by Imoerial (which my younger brothers adsconded with after I went went off to college).
Thd BSA Whittler, aka: Camillus #72 Carpenters Whittler for the non-Scout market, was beyond their budget.

And the Camper pocket knife was the best choice for a ten year old. For crafts and opening cans of pork and beans on campouts, it was the best choice. I also learned that it was a poor throwing knife, when playing Daniel Boone.

That brings back some memories! 🙂 As for me — I was Davy Crockett, complete with official coonskin cap…😀

I have three with me today also. The 77 got apple duty today. Gotta work on that patina. 😎👍View attachment 2082600View attachment 2082598View attachment 2082599

Truer words have never been spoken. If I had deep pockets, I would already have .01% of Charlies collection. Which is a lot I would imagine :).
