What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Had this with me this afternoon and probably tomorrow! Old Schrade Walden 1/2 Trapper #294 It's my B-day present to myself...lol.
Tomorrow is the big day, so I'm sure I'll carry it again tomorrow...:D

Jason

Absolutely stunning my friend, hope you have a great birthday

Happy Birthday Jason, great knife you have there :)

Carrying these two today, got a new leather belt pouch for my clasp knife, so we'll see how that turns out. All I need now is a new belt, I've had a particular one on order from a UK supplier since last October!

Jason,

Happy Birthday !!

Jack,

The Tidioute is very nice, i love the color ! nice one

Thanks :) I see you have exquisite treasures with you as always. I think one poster will swoon over the colour of that Lloyd, and who could blame her :)

You say that like I didn't swoon the very first time I saw that Lloyd, in this thread.

To whit:
Where to begin?! What a marvelous, well-thought collection, so beautifully presented. Wow.

Of all the knives you've shown us, the pictures of which I've only just begun to take in, two knives stood out to me along the way (simply as a matter of personal taste-- there is so much to see, and consider, in each of these knives and your photographs, and now seeing the picture of all of them together makes me look and re-decide, all over again).

Interestingly, the two knives appear together in your last picture, second row up from the bottom in each column-- the John Lloyd and the wooden-handled knife with the "constellation" of inset metalwork and corkscrew:

As in, I was ready to look through all your pictures to find them again, and there they are right next to each other in your array! :)

I did then go find them again, for clarity (though the scrolling to find them made me kinda seasick...).

@ Jason Bakler - My IE was messing up badly yesterday so I couldn't get this post to work. Not sure if it was a problem on my end or BF's. Running Chrome today. Happy Birthday Jason. Looks like you got yourself a very nice present.

Thanks Christian, when I spotted this one at the flea market, your pics of yours inspired me to grab it, I am so glad that I did!

This one during the day

... and the TL-29 I won of Mike Berkowitch´s GA will be with me in the evening

(Sorry - I wanted to make some nice pics of the TL-29 but there´s a storm rising and it´s almost pretty dark - not a good weather taking pics...)

Have not been here in a while, but I'm carrying my Grandad's old Schrade Walden 708Y today, and wanted to say again how delighted I am with the restoration work glennbad did on one of my few truly treasured items.
