Thanks for the reply and info, that knife is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks! Welcome to the porch Floyd, there’s no dump questions here as long as it pertains knives. This is a Northfield 23 with Red Spiral Buffalo Horn, I have no idea how Bill did the jigging on these horn covers but I fell in love with it 12 years ago at first site.

Thanks Bob. Have a relaxing eveningWhat a great barlow Jon.
So far so good, Bart. It’s been in my pocket every day this week with great results. The loop is sized such that you can get the pen in pretty easily but also so that it holds it securely without allowing it to move at all in your pocket. Thanks for the kind words. So how did it go? Does the pen stay in okay? I have a similar one with a pocket at the bottom that the pen rests in (like Jon’s above) It works well. Yours looks good
A Giants Jersey at a Dodgers game is a different story
I always love seeing that one![]()
Welcome to the porch...you will enjoy it here. Do you go by Floyd?
Thanks, Bob! Yup, I go by Floyd, and all "Pink" jokes are welcome (to the machine)....(there's a deep cut for the music heads among us). I really like the Mercatur too! For such a simple design, it's extremely effective. It finds it's way into my pocket more than I thought it would.Welcome to the porch...you will enjoy it here. Do you go by Floyd?
I have always liked the Mercatur design.
Bob
That nice grouping seems quite sufficient for any cutting needs.I've been relatively inactive for a bit, we moved cities at the beginning of the year for my wife's job and we've been in a a short term rental while waiting on our house (fingers crossed for next week!) that being said I only have a few knives everything else is in boxes at our old house. Funny enough I wasn't feeling super attached to my bunny knife and was considering passing it along when I first got it....buuut back when I first opened it my wife called for me and without thinking I slipped it in my pocket...with my keys and scratched up the bolsters on itso it was mine since then

Welcome to the Porch! To paraphrase Mr. Clapton, “If you wanna get down…down on the ground…Cocaine”. Sold my car, sold my house, sold my wife…Cocaine. It appears we have similar taste in books!
Thanks man! And thanks for getting that Clapton song stuck in my head nowWelcome to the Porch! To paraphrase Mr. Clapton, “If you wanna get down…down on the ground…Cocaine”. Sold my car, sold my house, sold my wife…Cocaine. To give credit where credit is due I must point out that this is from a song parody by Dr. Gonzo, the Doc of Comedy Rock!
Mine ended as well with the demise of Miami Vice. But man the stories I could tell! Thanks man! And thanks for getting that Clapton song stuck in my head now. The Higonokami knife always struck me as the ultimate cocaine chopper knife. The knife is so raw, basic & brutalist, and it's aesthetic perfectly pairs with the garbage coke that it would probably cut. Mind you, I'm not advocating cocaine use at all, quite the opposite! My partying days ended back in the early aughts back when I still had hair LOL.
