What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Staying on the homestead today. I'm going to do as little as possible. NASCAR will be on this afternoon so, I'll kill a little time watching them go round and round. I've got Bunny 525 in my keys pocket and my Schrade Fire & Ice Trapper in another. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

A very underated pen knife, love it.

Absolutely, unfortunately here in the state, we don't get good cheese or sausage in the grocery store like this. The similar package comes with boiled ham and extra bland "cheddar".
Compared to countrys like Spain etc. ours is blander than a bland thing, you have to hunt for good stuff.
Luckily we now have some small delis and the like, that Salami was from a very small deli section of an Italian cafe I have found run by passionet Italians.

In France you can find a good bakers on every corner,in England its 99% from supermarket.
We had a few good ones around here sadly all gone now.

Great old knife👌

Dontcha love the way the old cocobolo darkens with age ~ and assorted oils and fluids related to working man’s knives? Nice Ulster, JJ.

“Butter knife edges” 😁
Makes you wonder if that was an official policy, or what?
Anyway, sharpening a knife is a tactile pleasure, right?

I’ll call you Master Of Good Lighting 🤙

Fortunately, there are sellers on the ‘bay that have all of the SAK accessories. I need to snag a couple of toothpicks that I’ve lost. That’s the only drawback to the Alox knives~ no toothpick or tweezers, which are sooo handy.

I certainly hope that coffee is Strong to go along with those strong knives.
I like the way the cutler left the rough forged part on your blade ~ looks great.

1 1/2” of fresh powder last night cannot stop me from thinking about hitting the river!

I refuse to have a knife that I won’t use, but to each their own. Some porchsters get a lot of pleasure in collecting pristine knives and keeping them that way, and I do enjoy seeing them here.
Agreed each to there own.

But slicing Italain salami with a knife I bought in Sardina and brought back to England brings back memorys and feels a bit special.

Thank you, Jack. I always enjoy seeing your Hartshead Barlow. I often pair a small fixed with a slip joint, or a small with a larger knife. That happened to be a fixed paired with a small.

M&G Yankee Whittler (GEC 78) today. May visit my local knife shop today, which almost always means coming home with something new.

Thank you very much my friend :) Good idea, I used to carry a fixed blade every day, when our knife laws were more relaxed. Nice to have a local knife shop
