Truth be told I have only carried the Ranch Hand, but the other 2 are going into the rotation this week. I pick them all up at a gun show on saturday. These old Remington production knives are great and can be found fairly cheap.

Hope everyone's having a mellow Sunday on the Porch. Ours sure has been.

Been wearing my overalls all weekend - they provide me with a surplus of cargo space! I was pulling out my Moran and Wayne Walker for the usual glamour shot, then realized that it wasn't entirely honest... So here is today's carry in its totality. "El Doctor" as I've named her, is from Grandpa, found in his workbench drawer (which I inherited). About twice a year she's a lifesaver, and the rest of the time a fine sandwich cutter.
I carried a Boker barlow today that I hadn’t carried in a while. I went to the skate park and ran into a local knife maker (Birdvis Knives) who I’d never met. It was fun meeting and talking to him.
I dig that Boker Bart, it's wearing it's years quite handsomely. Is that sawcut delrin? Very cool that you got to meet Nick! His knives look extremely well made to me, I like his simpler handle styles quite a bit. Maybe I should hang out at the KC skate spark, hoping for shank talk? I tried riding some of their ramps on my mountain bike once, that went poorly but the skaters were impressed with my lack of self-regard.

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund I was going to cut open a package with a fine custom the other day, then thought of how it would make you grit your teeth and switched to my SAK instead. Today I had to explain to the kiddo why I wouldn't be slicing a cardboard sheet in half with my GEC. So now look what you've gone and done - all these knives and it's back to having to carry the 20 dollar SAK in addition to them. 🤔

This Queen Half-Whittler in Bird's Eye Maple and D2.
Spectacular knife. Single spring. For both blades the spring is flush at the half stop as well as open and closed.
I don't think it would have fit into the watch pocket of the Levis I used to wear. But the "watch pockets" on the modern-day jeans are much bigger than the ones on my old Levi's, which were actually sized for a pocket watch. So a 4-inch knife fits just fine.

Looks delicious! Great knife too.
A rainy day in Arizona. Perfect for roasting (and drinking) coffee. A GEC 74 Yellowrose today. I'll be roasting a Panama Boquete Garrido Estate.

Haha. I was just looking at my roaster thinking it was a good afternoon to get some coffee ready for the week. Love that Yellow Rose. Beautiful knife.

I did not know Remington made a single blade hunter pattern. That is a great looking knife

Any day is perfect for drinking coffee. Rainy and dreary just add to the perfection
