Good looking peanut you've got there. Looks like a new camera too.
Today i was tooting the yeller medium stockman, but tommorow i'll be back to my regular carry, the mighty peanut.

Thanks Marius & Gevonovich, I wish I bought a camera Marius, just the same old cellphone & same peanut :-)

Gevonovich the Case 6201 is my very first Case it is 33 years old, it's small but I like to throw it in my pocket and use it, it seemed much bigger 33 years ago.

Very nice looking spot Jack, the coins, driven into the wood, do you know the significance?

Thanks Duane, been walking on the Bolton Abbey estate in North Yorkshire. The coins driven into wood - I'd never come across this until last year, walking in the same area, where there's a section of felled tree absolutely completely studded with coins, and then today came across a seat made from another section of felled tree and also studded in the same way. I knew nothing about this, but my girlfriend knew a little more, at least as it relates to the area. While there may be some sort of ancient practice - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wish_Tree - apparently just a few years ago, a couple of these trees were placed alongside a popular Yorkshire waterfall walk, and people encouraged to push in coins and make a wish. It was very popular and they've since appeared elsewhere. Look kind of wierd, but not too intrusive. I'll try and dig out a pic or two.

Edit - Here's another couple of snaps I took today (figured our friend Gevonovich would be interested in all those coins! :D )

Well, I need the opinions of the esteemed traditional group. I'd been wanting a sow belly pattern for some time, and figured why not stag and CV? I didn't have the option of handling so I had to order sight unseen. I must say blade grind, centering, walk and talk are all very nice and no fit/finish issues whatsoever. But the stag, the stag just isn't speaking to me. Is it too cold, too gray? Too untoasty, too bland? Talk to me folks and give your honest opinion. Will it develop character over time with use? Did I expect too much?

Looks good to me Mike, nice knife you have there

Thanks to an awesome forum friend I'm carrying this one today. And the bottle opener works fine. :)
The minchamp is a recent grab off the exchange. It's quite handy and has been with me pretty much nonstop since its arrival.

Mike, I love a sow belly and yours is no exception. I have no experience with stag,as I have never had any, but like the looks of the looks of your. I bet it will age well.
