If we're voting again, I'll vote for the Case whittler again (although it may not be exactly the same one I voted for a few days earlier)!Case and Northfield Tuesday.

I appreciate your saying so, Paul. You always have intersting knives GT. Today is no different. Have a great day buddy.
Thanks, Jack.I like that pic Gary![]()

I like your Earl/Merle/Everywhere idea!I agree, GT, I also thought of the traveling knives. Earl’s been everywhere man/Merle’s been everywhere man...
I also like the ram on the 93 and its placement further down the handle.

Thanks for the info, Bob.Good morning Gary,
You did very well with your homework assignment.
The little knife is an older JA Henckles. They are very well built in my opinion.
Have a good one.
Thanks for the confirmation, Paul.Good call, Gary - it is indeed a Mink Skinner.
I find myself partial to the scaled down Muskrat / “California clip” blade profile … and this configuration has two of em!
And thank you for the kind words!

I can relate to your entropy remark, Jeff. I'm one of those "OCD guys" that thinks if you let putting stuff away, or cleaning up a mess, or other "disorder" like that slide, pretty soon your house or neighborhood or country or planet is total chaos!!I look at it as my own little pushback against entropy. Not in the strict Clausian sense, just looking for a sense of order and predictability, and fighting the gradual decline into disorder.
Probably one of the reasons you submit yourself to a rigorous and highly formulated knife rotation schedule. I mean, besides the fact you like numbers ‘n sech.
Hey! Speaking of rigorous schedules, you’re working an awful lotta hours for a prof. who’s already retired!
Yeah, it's nice! Thanks Gary. I have always liked that little patch of saw cut that pokes through the jigging on this one.
Thanks for the kind word; glad I could play some role. Thanks!
Your "knife of the week" posts helped inspire those posts.![]()
Thanks, Jack.Useful pair Gary![]()

Cool couple of knives, Will!5K Qs Not thought about that GT ...I'm attempting to show a different knife each month on this year's wildlife calendar- but do I have enough knives???
Calendars here are in both of the National languages as you'll see, they contain details of name days-most common names have a name day and small gifts are sometimes given etc.
The thing about starting on Monday is that time is structured here for businesses, schools, colleges, universities etc around week numbers, people take holidays in weeks 17-20 e.g. and the current week number is 10. Schools and colleges have recently had their winter ski-ing or sport holiday and it is zoned around the country in three bands so not everybody is off at once, so weeks 7,8,9 are set aside.

Thanks for the replies, Bart. Thanks, Gary. Sorry for the delayed reply, I’ve been so busy I haven’t had much time to spend on the Forum. It’s a mini trapper, 3.5 inches. A full sized is bigger than I like to carry regularly. The geese are snow geese, which are the most common variety around here.
Sweet knife, Gary!In this age of all things connected, I'm still wandering from room to room setting all the old timey clocks an hour ahead. Not to get political, but enough is enough.
Carrying something special today. Thanks for letting this one go, GaryGary W. Graley !

Thanks for the kind word; glad I could play some role.
It actually saves me a lot of time each day (and each week) to have all my knife choice decisions made in advance.

I've always preferred Uncle Henry to Old Timer, despite them being stainless, mostly because my Dad carries one, but the covers are just nicer to me. But, the Schrade jigged brown delrin is nicer than either.Have to say, they did a darned good imitation of genuine Schrade Uncle Henry Staglon!
Perfection!!! Awesome pair today Jack.Have a great Sunday everyone![]()

I’m glad somebody asked!Very nice. Would love to see the rest of the vehicle.
Mrs Fleschwund says ok ~ AFTER I finish the bathroom remodel. You messed with my tired head on that one.
I recall telling Elijah J. (at bedtime) to not be waking me up at six o'clock ...... because it would just be five o'clock.
As it turned out, we got up at seven o'clock.
I think it was thinking about the copperhead snakes that got me. They'll go out of their way to bite you.
P.S. - you owe me two hours of work !
Gary, I heard there’s a bill in the Senate to do away with the time change. If they can figure out how to tax us for it…In this age of all things connected, I'm still wandering from room to room setting all the old timey clocks an hour ahead. Not to get political, but enough is enough.

LOL!Raspberry Rally girl scout cookies are like thin mints with raspberry flavoring. Interesting how they use "flavor" "flavored" and "flavors" three times in the description on the box. List of ingredients does not have raspberryWorth the $5 asking price if you consider it's a donation but certainly not worth the flipper price.

Thanks a lot PaulPerfection!!! Awesome pair today Jack.
Thanks, Gary! Yes it has the tail-lock, or tab-lock. It's a really well made and finished collaboration. It would cost me a couple thousand to have a Lake made Lake.Sweet knife, Gary!Does that have one of the lock release levers for which you recently posted a link?
I changed all the clocks about 5pm Saturday - I think we only have 4 left that need manual changing, plus my $10 Casio wristwatch. But "springing forward" is much easier for at least 3 of our "digital time devices" than "falling back" will be in October (if that's when the next time change is), because it's much easier to advance the hour by 1 than it is to advance it by 11 or even 23 to get the effect of turning back 1 hour.
LOL! I expect they will find a way!Gary, I heard there’s a bill in the Senate to do away with the time change. If they can figure out how to tax us for it…![]()
Thanks, Jack! I've had it for quite awhile now. I remember when AG Russell had it in their catalog, back in 2002. I was going to buy one then, but I wasn't quick enough. I had my eye out for one since then. Luckily I was the first to contact Gary when he was looking to sell his.Congratulations Gary![]()
