… the nail nick on the secondary blade faces the pile side … which, if you think about it, allows the main blade to be located “in front” from the show side, which I like …
Or maybe I’m just overthinking the whole thing … 😂

Either way, I’ve really been enjoying this one lately …😎

Totin a new to me gift from sunknife sunknife 😃
He knew I love Schrades, and now I’m all set for St. Paddy’s Day 2024. Thanks a bunch, Greg!

Like Harry said, the knife show was great, and seeing each other even greater.
I did hand my phone to a nice lady so she could take a group photo of us porchsters, But I won’t post it on a public forum, at least until the Statute Of Limitations has run out.

As for the knives? Even though there were literally thousands and thousands for sale, it’s equally, if not more fun to get to handle the knives our friends brought to pass around.
At one point, I found Harry leaning over a display in which he’d spied three old Farmer’s Jacks, which turned out to be Schrade Cut Co. Unfortunately, they were not priced to $ell!
I did not get past the first booth without buying my limit of one. A Schrade made Craftsman version of a belt knife I’ve always wanted, the 165 Woodsman.324433F4-4F70-4B17-8DA3-E92B55A45F8A.jpeg
A fine day.

It turns out I have to work today, so I'll just keep my Old Friends Friday carry in my pocket again.

I totally agree. I much rather the pen or the secondary be on the pile side, with the nick on the pile side. It just makes getting to main so much nicer & easier. 👍

Here's my stag for Saturday.

That's one smokin little knife there! Having trouble deciding what one it is. Is it a #56?

I've pocketed this jigged bone Catt for today, one of the two old sleeveboard whittlers I acquired at yesterdays blade show. I was on visual overload looking at the thousands of knives on display there, WOW! Best part was meeting a great bunch of new friends from this here porch. Harry, Jeff, Barrett, Neal, Jason, Todd and Paul. I really enjoyed hanging out and getting to know each of you personally. Breakfast, knife talk and viewing along with some good natured humor made my day, thanks fellas.:)

Got up this morning to Mother Nature telling us that she was not done with us yet .

Today I am carrying the knife , after looking at a lot of knives , that I found yesterday at the Badger Blade Show . It is a Taylors Eye Witness Pruner that is likely not very old but in good shape and not carried very much . It , to me , is a very unique knife due to the Blade Orientation which has been shown a couple of years ago . It is an Advertising knife with the name COMET on one side of the blade and MASTABAR-ACCRINGTON on the other .
There was a Comet Belt Lacer sold by Mastabar Mining Equipment from Accrington , Lancashire , England .... Don't know the year that the belt lacer was sold , but I suspect that it may have been in the 1990's .

Maybe Jack Black Jack Black can put a little closer age to the knife . There was some conversation about this blade orientation in the past . This knife was made like this and is not because some metal has worn . It is not nearly old enough to be in the Old Knives thread .

A Brass Rail Restaurant buddy of ours passed away a couple of weeks ago and we're going to a "Bon Voyage" send off for him at the Brass Rail Restaurant this afternoon. He was a quiet, simple, guy so a simple knife will do for the occasion. Bunny #525 will sneak a ride in my keys pocket. Sausage and eggs up for breakfast.
