Glad you all had such a great timeBunch of questionable characters, that’s for sure.
Beautiful old bone on that knife!
It was great to see you again, Harry, and to sit and talk knives for a while. You brought some good looking examples with you, thanks for sharing!
That’s a cool green Schrade, Jeff. It was definitely a good day!
That was about the first knife you picked up when we walked in the place, wasn’t it Jeff? I think that guy at that first table got a little business from most of us. I bought a little stag-handled KA-BAR jack from him, and I know Todd and Paul both picked up one or more knives from his table.
I’m going to try today to get some individual pics of the knives I ended up with.
It was great to meet you, Greg! I love the grooves in that jigged bone. Nice find!
The amount of old knives can’t be overwhelming, can’t it? By the time we left yesterday, I’d probably browsed most of those table at least 8 times, and I was still finding stuff I hadn’t seen yet!
Paul, that little spey really is a cool old knife. Nice full blade on it, nice bolsters, great shield!
After a busy couple days at the Badger show (and a fair amount of driving), I’m just taking it easy this morning, and I’m not really carrying anything yet today. I had Merle with me most of the weekend, along with a few others in my pockets, and several others in my backpack. Probably the most knives I’ve ever “toted” at once!

LOL!Jack, I say that to myself almost every morning!
The state of my 2017 Guardians knife is less bad luck than my own carelessness/stupidity.
But thanks for your generosity regarding that glowing horn and your last will and testament.![]()
Besides being a great photographer, Harvey knows how to cook!
Great pair of IXLs Steve, you've inspired me to carry one myself today
It must be IXL Monday!
Quality quartet JerI couldn't make up my mind, then I realized I didn't need to.

That's Rock 'n' Roll!I was Invited to 3 gigs today
The first was young and poppy though they thought it was punk
2nd was very good old bluesy stuff, I reclined on a sofa at the front snoozing during one song as it was getting to be a long day
I then couldnt get up of the sofa and had to get assistance (I have no sofas in my house for that reason)
The 3rd gig I couldnt make as I was tired by then (and sober or I probably would have gone and fallen asleep there as well)
Rock n Roll

Many thanks JJ, I hope you had a lovely Sunday
When I first posted pics of one of those knives some years back, there were one or two posters who INSISTED it had been broken!I had to laugh at you Harry for presenting your Eye witness with a gentle scolding of us keen eyed porchers.
Like .... now that I schooled you it ain't broken, tell me how you like it ?![]()
"How much will you take for this broken knife?"Well ,,,, I really have not done cutting with it other than some paper and it needs to be sharpened . I doubt that it has ever been sharpened properly after the factory . I like it for a few reasons .
1. It is a Taylor Eye Witness . I looked over about 200 of the sellers knives and asked if he had an Eye Witness . I had bought a couple off him before and I have a small group of them . Both Old & New ones .
2. It has a very unique blade orientation and knew immediately that it was not broken due to an old thread from back in 2017 or 2018 .
This goes along with Liking Pruners and Cotton Samplers .
3. It has been carried very little . The Tips of the jigged bone still look new .
4. It has all Steel Liners and Pins . The Blade is most likely Stainless .
5. It still has all of the Etchings on the blade .
6. I was looking for a Low Priced , or as you and I would say , Cheap knife , and I bartered with the seller and he accepted .
7. I had looked for some very specific knives and only saw 3 that I wanted and the guy who had them wanted to Retire off of me .
8. I wish that it was a little larger though . I have not measured it yet , but I would guess it to be about 3 & 1/2 inches
I will be cleaning , sharpening , flitzing , and oiling it and getting it ready to use some . I am very happen to have it for $50 .
Harry
A grand line up for the week Gordon.Hope everyone has a good week.
A batch of Case Barlows and a Tribal Lock, with a side of Meerkat. I could've done 7 Barlows but the Patriot Kirinites are for holidays.

No, I think you can get all of them in your pockets Jer. It's surprising how a little tlc can bring these knives back to life. This really is a bit too much.

Camillus, GEC, Case, Camco, Wright; over Kingston.
The Kingston will be draining penetrating oil on a rag, anyway. It has some snap back, but I'm hoping a blast of PB blaster will speed up its recovery.
Usually when we say, "If only that knife could talk, what stories it could tell", I say, "Yeah, right". But if this Kingston could tell me how it got patinated and rusted, and lost so much plating, while not losing any steel, and still being sharp, I would be interested to hear about it.No, I think you can get all of them in your pockets Jer. It's surprising how a little tlc can bring these knives back to life.![]()
A fine Kutmaster Mr.P.A couple from the WWII era will be toted around today ...... the Kabar will just be for my walk.

That is one tough neighborhood you roam Mr.P.![]()
I'm sure you will learn them a thing or two Mr.P.It is a pretty calm neighborhood with most residents around my age ....... also used as a short cut for some younger sprouts (in their noisy trucks), which was never taught any respect for their elders.![]()
I wish you well in your struggles without power. Nice combo while you wait. The power is still out, 2.5 days and counting.
