What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The guy at that table got a lot of business from the porch. 😉👍

Sweet pair of knives Jeff. 😎👍
Love that picture. M R DUCKS! 🤣

Thanks Paul. It sure did, and I wasn’t even looking for something like this, but once I picked it up, I didn’t put it down. 🤣
So Mike was hiding that knife until you got there, huh? 😁
Mr. Ducky lives over by that stump, and has been helping me pose knives for about three years.

I was prepping to shave and a thought popped to mind, here is my photo for the day. This is my Case with one of my ebay rescue razors. The edge had some pits, so had to take some of the edge off and buff it for awhile, but now it shaves very nicely.

If I ever get rid of my beard, I’m going to try a straight razor. But I don’t plan on getting rid of my beard🤔
It's gonna be a boring but important day. We're calling our insurance company to verify and go over our life insurance policies. Nobody is expecting to take a dirt nap but it doesn't hurt to be prepared. Sausage and waffles for breakfast. This #86 2AB Barlow will make a good carry while declining insurance coverage amounts and increased premium rates. Bless those little insurance agents hearts - they just can't help themselves trying to increase benefit/coverage amounts.

Say Hi to Jonathon from Colonial Penn!
I had these at the farm this morning. We were planting seed trays inside. I highly recommend escarole. At at least .177 caliber, they are visible and handleable.

That's the 58th International Congress on Medieval Studies. (Partially) in person for the first time since 2019.
Love the old Camco. That makes two knives I’ve seen that Camillus made for the old paper mills.
Some seeds cme coated so they feed better through seeder seed plates. And they are much easier to handle.
I have to finish tiling my bathroom so I can set up my planting rack and grow lights!
Thank you my friend and I agree with you. Fine pair for you today !  😍

Hmmmm ........... 🤔🤔🤔

Hey don’t dis Mr. Ducky!
My youngest is 30, but there was a time when he did bathtub duty.
Then he got hung in a tree by older brothers and used for bb gun practice🙄
At lesst he still has his head.
A pair for Wednesday. Nice sunny day here so far. Supposed to turn to crap around 5pm. :D

Dig the Livri, and your photo.
That’s a great story about your dad, Harry, and neat that it made the paper! 🙂 Here’s an old newspaper clipping of my dad “on the job.”

I won’t make that mistake again! (Ah, who am I kidding? I probably will. I’ve even got a spreadsheet. Need to add a few knives to it and get it up to date.)

That’s a really special knife, Jeff.

That’s a nice one! Not the flashiest jigged bone GEC has done, but fits really nicely with the knife.

I grabbed these two today for What-A-Wooden-Wednesday.

Is that really your Dad? Great photo!👌
I have a picture in my head of Dad stepping out of his company car with white shirt and tie and briefcase, with me waiting out front with a baseball and our gloves.

No phot doctoring here, just a quick snap from the place where it is 70 and fluorescent.

Ominous quote today! 🥺
Nice picture of your father and your knives. I like both of those folders quite a bit ! ⭐

I do the spreadsheet thing too ..... Description ... model no .... type of steel .... year made ... price paid .... where I got it ..... totals at the bottom, which I rarely look at.😊

Ohh no - he's about to wash my non-permanent decal of Peter off my bunny knife !:thumbsup:😍🤣
Neat picture !
It’s that total $ spent that scares me!
Love your Granddad’s oilcan!
The Bark River got Some Beeswax and Orange oil for the desert Ironwood and flitz for the Magnacut.
Came out beautiful

Nice looking knife, Ed. I would rock that in the kitchen.
I finally got to handle Merle when Barrett brought him to the show. Nice engraving!
I had these two Cocobolo wearing lads with me today. :)
Great Ulster TL-29! If I could only have one knife…
Thanks Bob, congratulations on the new Lambsfoot 🙂👍

Nice find Todd 😎🙂👍

Two stunners Mr P 😎👍

Those two look good together Paul 🙂👍

Dates to 1980, at least, Jeff!.🤣😉👍

Nicely done 😎🙂👍

Great pairing Steve 🙂👍

Cool pic Barrett 🙂👍

Bargain! You struggle to get a coffee for that in Leeds

Thank you my friend, I had to put Lucy in the Sin Bin! :D ;)

Hope you’ve enjoyed your birth anniversary at the Toolman’s booth, and please show us what birthday present you chose!
I heard there was picture doctoring occurring 😱...so...I doctored 😁 this picture of my Schrade..... with a Bulldog doctor's knife.View attachment 2135156
Doctored or not, love the Schrade!
Please show the blades open… I’m guessing 804 Whittler.🤔
I can't really decide what to tote today, but, I think I might just go with my old Schrade since Mr. R. got my mind in a Schrade mood. 😊

Even two days early for Schrade Saturday, that works! 👌
I have "nicer" knives, but I still really like this old thing:

A sentiment I can get behind. 👏

Sheep and a lamb today. Have a great day everyone.

I’ve got a 175 too. We don’t see them here often, which is a shame, because it’s a great knife.

So many nice knives from y’all lately.
I am very glad it’s not a competition. I am not browsing the auction site, or watching for the latest drop, but have still been blessed with new knives through the thoughtful giving of fellow Porchsters.

This pristine Case Sidbuster showed up in my mail yesterday courtesy of Todd bigfish64 bigfish64 ! He saw me inspecting one at the knife show.
Case designed the handle of the full sized Sodbuster perfectly imo, and I love the silky delrin. I don’t care what some say, I think it makes a great material for work knives.26264268-E13B-47C7-BBE7-88C3DFA2F921.jpeg5987282E-BD09-4D71-8EEB-AB79BD4D93D6.jpeg

I also have this old Robeson Easy Open Jack, which will no doubt sharpen my pencil many times today. I am wearing out the pencil fast marking tiles. This should be my last day, then grouting them, painting, and puting the toilet and vanity, and shower fixtures in. Our granddaughters, aged almost 17,15, and twelve, arrive Saturday, and wie will NEED this third bathroom!
Have a fine day, eh?

You look a lot like your Dad my friend .

Jack Jack Black Jack Black , have a happy, and hopefully historic, birthday today!!:cool::cool::thumbsup:
As your Meatless March winds down, are you planning an animal flesh fest for April Fools Day?? 🤓

Canoes of the Week are a stag Mohawk canoe made in Germany for AG Russell and a Rough Rider "bolster stripes" canoe whose jigging pleases me greatly.

Gary, beautiful regatta of canoes you have there.👍

Nothing planned for today so, we'll stick close to the homestead. A quick trip to the mailboxes is called for this afternoon so Bunny #525 will ride along in my keys pocket and this Buck 055 will ride along in another pocket. Pretty tough knives these Buck 055 knives.
