Very cool Jeff. Good on yaSo many nice knives from y’all lately.
I am very glad it’s not a competition. I am not browsing the auction site, or watching for the latest drop, but have still been blessed with new knives through the thoughtful giving of fellow Porchsters.
This pristine Case Sidbuster showed up in my mail yesterday courtesy of Toddbigfish64 ! He saw me inspecting one at the knife show.
Case designed the handle of the full sized Sodbuster perfectly imo, and I love the silky delrin. I don’t care what some say, I think it makes a great material for work knives.View attachment 2135344View attachment 2135343
I also have this old Robeson Easy Open Jack, which will no doubt sharpen my pencil many times today. I am wearing out the pencil fast marking tiles. This should be my last day, then grouting them, painting, and puting the toilet and vanity, and shower fixtures in. Our granddaughters, aged almost 17,15, and twelve, arrive Saturday, and wie will NEED this third bathroom!
Have a fine day, eh?
Have a great day, Ed. Great little knife for the day.Nothing planned for today so, we'll stick close to the homestead. A quick trip to the mailboxes is called for this afternoon so Bunny #525 will ride along in my keys pocket and this Buck 055 will ride along in another pocket. Pretty tough knives these Buck 055 knives.

Thank you Sir! Not my first color choice, although I do like it, but I've eyed one of these for several years now and one came up on the exchange (thanksVery nice burl.![]()
Tried to send you PM. Your box is full.Thank you Sir! Not my first color choice, although I do like it, but I've eyed one of these for several years now and one came up on the exchange (thanksChuck_Nunface ). The combo of living in humid southeast Texas and working a desk job (e.g. minimal cutting tasks) makes me hesitant to carry much carbon. From an aesthetics point I prefer it but I haven't figured out how to keep the pepper spots at bay! Annnnyyyway...

Is that really your Dad? Great photo!
I have a picture in my head of Dad stepping out of his company car with white shirt and tie and briefcase, with me waiting out front with a baseball and our gloves.
You look a lot like your Dad my friend .

That patina is mostly from cutting into a hot steak. That’s how you get the colors. The more I use it on anything organic like fruit or vegetables the more it will turn a darker gray. You don’t have to worry about rust. Simply wipe of the blade some time after using it. Patina will actually help keep rust from forming.Any special treatment on the blade? I'm about to start carrying my GEC 98 and I'm aiming for patina but no rust.
(Great shot by the way!)
