What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This #57 in the pocket again today:

I really like this knife, it started my interest in the moose and muskrat patterns. Northwoods "Mini Moose"

It's the same size/frame as Queen's small stockman. I think of it more as an "improved" muskrat than a moose, but one thing's for sure, it's a slicer

I would love to see more muskrat/moose patterns featuring a wharncliffe like yours, Zippofan. That's a sweet one, for sure.

SubSpace - your thread on the Maverick was one of the main reasons I recently picked one up. Sounds like you still feel the same about it as you wrote in your thread? Any new insights after all these months of carry/use?

Still love the knife. I have a GEC 66 calf roper as well, and the Maverick feels better in my hand. And while it is a larger knife at 3.75 inches vs the 66 at 3.5, the Maverick is slimmer and carries better in my pocket. All my knives go right front pocket alongside my wallet so they stay vertical. The sheepsfoot and pen blades are so thin they make excellent slicers, and the clip blade slices limes for gin drinks like no tomorrow. With the forum knife this year being a congress jack, folks who might have overlooked this knife the first time may want to give it a try. I understand the forum knife won't be out till September!

Nice old worn bone on this one. Just a joy to carry.

Got this guy in the mail today from a trade. Looking forward to giving a fixed blade a chance at edc. With the dangler sheath attached over my rear pocket the sheath tucks away nicely. Maybe a handkerchief next to it will help in keeping it to one side. Needless to say its been on my belt since I got it :D

That's a great looking BH Colt! I've looked at that knife several times and almost pulled the trigger. I've been very impressed with every other BH I've owned. You'll have to let me know how you like that one after using it for a while.

I thought the same thing when i saw your picture the other day (think mines younger, 1979) ;)

the fixed blades my favorite Jk Toby's knife, it's fun when two knives seem to mess that way :)

Nice choice for the day. I had to check my pocket to make sure that wasn't mine that was in your picture! I wish I had a smaller fixed blade to complement mine.

I shall :)

Looking at it next to my Charlow and its easy to see why I like the size of this one. I have no doubt it will be a great tool, will come down to how comfortable it is to carry.
