What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

the lower one in your pic is really pretty. what are the covers made of?

It is cow bone with the marrow side out. Case and others used to do that as well, but most of it was dyed instead of natural.

I'm carrying a single blade ebony TC Barlow just like the one in the post above. I tried pictures this morning, but the weather is not cooperating.

I haven't carried my Case Texas Jack for a while, so I decided to put it in my pocket today, together with my Case Sodbuster (Jnr) :)

Thanks Jack, I was surprised by how much I liked it.

That sure is a beaut Gev. Whats the story with the blade next to the manicure? Looks like a punch now? That bone is spectacular :)

Thanks, Jack and Jeff:D

Jeff, the blade does not look to be modified much as the blades are packed in the knife and it just fits. Must have been meant for a small carving or punch blade.
I have looked for a catalog page with no luck.

All the blades snap hard and are very sharp. The bone has taken me in, Jeff. Its got cracks but they are tight and the bone is secure.

An interesting assortment indeed, great find.

A true sign of a well made knife

It is wonderful looking for sure my friend, and glad to hear its secure. You guys are really turning me to the dark side now, I need to hunt for my first piece of old bone ;)

Thanks, Doug. Good to see you, my friend.

Jeff, you are right. When they are this old and still have snap, that is a sign of true skill.

I 'm looking forward to your first piece of old bone. You will be hooked;)

Not that I've had any complaints about the scout but the peanut gets pulled for when someone MAY get scared of a cutting tool.
