What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hope the storms passed without incident. Please tell me about the beverage
The storms weren’t too bad here, fortunately. Thank you.

The Hazelnut KBS is from my favorite craft beer company, Founders. It’s a seasonal offering of a hazelnut and coffee flavored imperial stout. I’m not a craft beer expert by any means, but I’ve tried several and this is one of my favorites. I like just about everything this brewery puts out.

Dandy duo; I really like the looks of that Barlow with curved handle!:thumbsup::cool: I don't think I'm familiar with a bolster lock - how does that operate?

- GT
Thanks GT! One of my favorites and Iove the jigging; I don’t carry it too much because I loose small knives too often (I usually find them…).

I think the member I got this from called it a bolster lock though the little info sheet doesn’t really give the mechanism a name. Basically there is an additional liner on one side that pivots against the main liner - so the entire mark? side of the handle rotate clockwise a bit to disengage the lock. It’s pretty neat although because of the mechanism it doesn’t have any walk and talk, and it’s an extremely weak lock (not that I care because it’s just cool). If anyone else has this little guy and knows more, or can explain better, do chime in!

Very nice ! So is that similar to a liner lock?
Very intriguing lock mechanism I’ve never seen anything like it .

Not quite though I’ve seen bolster locks in other various ways that are. I’ve think some that are called a bolster lock and it’s simply a liner lock at the bolster; RR makes a bolster lock line that is essentially a frame lock but using a cut out portion of the bolster.

This is one different than any other I’ve seen, which is why I wanted it lol. maybe there is no name for it?
