What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

1st off you can't change your mind :) ..., and ya could've used that space to post another pic of that North River Frontier FB, now that is one handsome knife.👍
I'm surprised I was the only one to give the sad face. I mean it wasn't like you double dog dared anyone but you did say you'd be understanding if some one did. 😁
All in fun of course, my friend. 🥃

… sorry, it was just hangin’ right there … 😏

Because
If you ever lost power and or had water contamination
You had clean water to survive on for at least a couple days

Lots of places used to use electric pumps to get water to the house. Although thats far less common nowadays unless you live way out in the boonies

Additionally lots of places that are prone to flooding or are at a real low elevation...water contamination is very common.
That makes sense, thank you. Thankfully I live near a clean lake and bordering a creek, high above the flood plains.

Dig the Schrade!
Thanks, Jeff. I actually thought of all of your nice Schrades when I dropped that one in my pocket.
Speaking of mustaches, this guy loved his so much, he kept two spares on his face.

Mine’s more of a Rollie Fingers.
Thank you Bob. I was lucky enough to land this off the exchange. I have Sacto Sacto to thank, the posts of his Case/Bose Eureka Jack made me want to jump at the chance to get one.
Glad I could be an enabler 😁. I really like mine, it’s really hard not to carry it.

Eureka today.

I had to look up that word, Jack; thanks for increasing my word power!:thumbsup:🤓
How about this one I came across this week Gary :D ;)

Great pic of your HHB "in the field", Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

....

Propitious pair of knives, Jack, and the backgrounds have interesting reading material!:cool::thumbsup:
I never really thought about the I*XL mark being so old; it looks like the sort of thing someone would invent for text messages, but was granted before 1700! 😲

Thanks buddy, I've never thought of the IXL mark like that, good observation! :D :)
(Odd, the system didn't give me a notice of your post)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. It is very much appreciated.

...that is a masterful pic... 😁

Thank you, and happy birthday to you, sir. Hoping you had a good one as well.
Thank you very much, I had a nice day :)
As someone with a mustache, I love the background sign. If I don’t wax mine it’s like the Mark Twain, if I do wax it, it’s like the Arthur Conan Doyle but a lot more grey 😁
Brilliant! The Arthur Conan Doyle is a cool moustache! :D I haven't had a moustache since I was in my 20's, so far as I can remember, but it was more of a Mark Twain :D :)

TGIF folks!
Carrying an old friend today.

Cool pic Gary, looks good  Nice to see your sharpening set-up too :)
Well, of course there was cake!
But then, you don’t need a birthday to have a bit of cake, right?
Definitely not my friend, here's my cake from yesterday :D ;)

Add another belated Birthday wish!

Thanks Jeff :D
Ok, time to give kudos to Jakeywax31 aka Paul. He was at the knife show and found knives I have been searching for...low and behold he found two examples. Then he goes and gifts them to me. I have entered them in my drawer of appreciation.
Thank you Paul.

Carrying these two awesome knives today. The Stone custom was a wonderful gift from my friend Rufus1949 Rufus1949 . I opened the package yesterday and was blown away with the gesture of generosity and friendship. Thanks Bob!!!!!!!. The Charlie lamb will be in tote as well. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend everyone.

Well done fellers :)
Had these 2 in my pockets today when I was getting ready to put down some more fertilizer on the grass . Modified the Spreader Lever first by using my cordless drill and was happy that I did not have to use some of my earlier drills shown . I ended up getting rained out so I stayed in Bay #3 and messed around .
Knives are my old TEW Lambfoot and AB .

Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

You had my mouth watering with your tool man cake, but those two fabulous Friday slicers are definitely drool-worthy! 😋👍👍

I had a couple of older gents from Case and Camillus today. :)
Many thanks JJ, that's a wonderful vintage pair my friend  :)

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend :)

"There is no future in England's dreaming"
1977 The Sex Pistols

Yesterday I sold my backup (lockdown) fridge to a girl for £50 (she was so happy) then went to the record store and inadvertenly bought more records. 😁

The randomness of England still amuses me,Sgt Pepper looking down on a rain washed street,Girls dressed up to the 9s with plastic bags on the head.

I was looking out of the record store coffe shop window, a homeless chap was walking past outside we made eye contact and both of us laughed out loud when we saw the girls.🤣

Lifes little moments are what makes it.

In my pocket I had decided to carry my Old English.

Later that night I went to a very heavy rock concert in the same area, even with ear plugs in it was LOUD no carry as didnt want anything confiscated.

Lots of old faces not seen for a while.

After I went in a pub one of my old Army mates frequents as I had promised him my old vacum cleaner (hes older than me,another NI vet though he was a Tankie).

I dragged him out and we took it to another pub nearby where he rents a very noisy room,I declined the offer of a drink as I had to drive home.

All in a all a rock and roll day (of sorts)...its till raining today :(
