What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

So not what they’d call a “Late Bloomer”?
Apparently not.
I pretty much killed it by watering it without realizing the foil over the pot hadn't been pierced. It made a praiseworthy effort to recover after I'd corrected my mistake.

Thanks Steve, I had some friends visiting Paris, who wanted to bring me back a knife. I got in touch with @Jolipapa for some advice, and he helped out a lot in terms of what patterns might be available. This Violon (Violin) pattern is made from old parts from the famous Thiers- Issard cutlery house. It's beautifully made, with jigged bone covers, and a carbon steel blade 👍

Thanks for the info, it's a beauty !

I forced myself out of the house this afternoon.

Went for a short walk in the park where spring was all around.

Then went to view a famous painting in a University/college church I had it to myself which was quite nice.

Paid my respects to those of the college who died in WW1 and turned the page over to April.
The hand writting is absolutely stunning,I read all the names and tried to work out which units they all where with.

Nipped into town as its all very close looking for homeless people.
In the end I gave 5 of them good quality tee shirts and a pair of excellent Vans (no longer fit me) to one chap whose sole was hanging of his shoes.
It was a great feeling as they wher all so happy and appreciative.

The theatre near where I parked my car was where I was an extra in a film with Hugh Grant,Oliver Read,Emma Samms,Gordon Jackson etc.
I was a cavalier soldier who arrested Hugh Grant and Lysette Anthony.
You can see me for about 2 secounds if that...Good pay and lots of free food plus we got to chat to the stars.
Emma Samms asked to have her photo taken with me believe it or not. 😍
Hugh hates the film,I love it close as I will get to hollywood.
9mins 20s in

the director kept saying hold it,hold it but thos fake muskats weighed a ton and we all flagged take after take 😁

That's no way to treat Lysette Anthony!
Is that Jack's favorite actor, Oliver Reed, prosecuting?

Emma Samms was the baddy but was really nice to us.
Lysette Anthony was the goody and was very stand off and miserable.

She walked behind me swearing under her breath at the director face dropping, then reappeared all smiling and fake nice to him. 🤣

Oliver Read was a disappointment, He had his young girlfriend with him and was mostly reading his book often sat on the floor out of the way with no sign of drink.
I was hoping to be invited out on a session with him, good job I wasnt I might still be in a hedge recovering...😇

heres a few photos I took I carried my camera in the shoulder bag we wore.

Emma posed for me, I promised not to show the photos until after the film aired.

Back to my old reliables today

For some reason it's nearly impossible to catch a pic of the flame in sunlight even tho it's clearly visible to the naked eye
