What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Well, didn't find the exact one I was looking for, but we found this one in my old tackle box, which I haven't touched in decades. Can't identify it, and it's in bad shape.

Imperial Fish Knife is what they were called. Looks like you found it exactly where many have been found ..... right in the old tackle box. 😊 🐠🐠🐠

Maybe there's worse things I could be doing on a Friday night besides messing with a Victorinox for Omega pocket knife and an Omega pocket watch survivor from 1944
... but I ain't got time for that
Although I'm not even Swiss ... not that there's anything wrong with that

Beauty of a pocket watch Brother Jim !
I need to remember to show your pic to my son. He is a watch collector and loves Omega. 😍

Actually confirmed the numbers on the blade match a vintage Imperial toothpick with scaler.

Also, the missing one must also be the same knife model as this one, but with the silver scales instead of yellow. I'm sure I'll find it around here somewhere, maybe in one of my ammo cans.
They’re all silver underneath the vinyl-ish cover…

Northwoods Madison Barlow and a kiridashi today. The kiridashi was an impulse buy at Blade Show a couple years ago, I didn’t take good notes, but know I have some paperwork on it/maker somewhere (unless anyone knows and wants to remind me). Scoring some leather with it, and wouldn’t mind fashioning a way to securely attach to keyring, the kydex it came with is too bulky for that.

Two thoughts…
First, KK (knifesmith?) may not have tempered the tang. If so, drill a hole. Or you could aneal that end to soften it up enough to drill it.
Secondly, I would surely cut a finger and holes in my pocket without some kind of cover for the business end. Maybe it’s supposed to be a bench tool?

All good points, thank you, Jeff. I have been using it for precisely that purpose, as a bench tool. Recently fussing with some leather pieces. I have no interest in the business end of it meeting my leg, fingers when I reach into a pocket, or anywhere else for that matter.

I am strangely unsettled when it comes to items on my keyring, and just got to thinking that this would be such a compact and useful addition, but without injuring myself in the process (it lends well to neck carry, but I generally only do that hiking/urban). Therefore maybe just forgetting about the whole thing may be the wise decision.

Have a great Easter Eve!

Glad your liking the little fixed blade. You have made it 10x better than what it was. I hope it serves you well. Have a great day and Easter my friend.
