What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Saturday evening quiet after a rainy day
G.Wines Lamb Foot. Rosewood and 01 Tool Steel

Had the cattle knife in my pocket for a week now and overall, I really enjoy it. The spear main blade would not have been my first choice over a clip, but I have found that the spear is great for cutting food like strawberries, meat, etc. The sheepsfoot blade gets used mostly for cutting open boxes. I like that there are no half stops on this one. The spear and sheepsfoot open smoothly. The spey blade doesn't see much use so far, and is also a little sticky on opening. It will probably smooth out some with more use.

Overall, a comfortable knife to carry. It isn't much for looks in my opinion. Just a plain, no nonsense, work knife. I'll post more impressions later on in the month after I have used it more.

What a great find, Mr. P! 😍

Thank you JW ..... I like getting to see an old knife in person before buying it. Pictures don't always tell the whole story.
Found another really good one. 😊

#35 Cattle Knife today. Fishing was a little tougher today; only ended up with sixteen keepers. But it was a nice day.

How do you like the 55?
Sorry for the late reply. When I'm in Tennessee, I'm mostly off the grid. I like it quite a bit. It carries slim and light. Locks up tight with no discernable play. Over the last two weeks in Tennessee its the only traditional I carried. It did everything I required, although I did carry a non-traditional several days.

Great-looking pair :)
A belated thank you, Jack. Hope you have a pleasant Easter my friend. :)

Carried one of my favorite pairing today, a Calf Roper and a Mustang, both GEC's. With names like that they are naturals to ride together.

Went to my brothers 23rd annual Easter egg today, around 60-75 kids and approximately 5,000 eggs on the lawn. We had three of our grandkids along. Our 3 yr old refused to pick up any egg that wasn't purple to match her bucket. 😄 One of her eggs contained a golden ticket so she won a large prize basket filled with kiddo easter swag. So I guess her strategy paid off.:)

Got a new '19 lambsfoot courtesy of @Jack Black and an old spay I picked up at the Badger Show. Have a great day and Easter weekend everyone.

That single spay blade is such a cool knife, Paul. I'm glad I got to see, admire and handle it at the knife show just after you got it and before I left you fellas there.:cool:
