What a great pair, Greg !!!A belated thank you, Jack. Hope you have a pleasant Easter my friend.
Carried one of my favorite pairing today, a Calf Roper and a Mustang, both GEC's. With names like that they are naturals to ride together.
Went to my brothers 23rd annual Easter egg today, around 60-75 kids and approximately 5,000 eggs on the lawn. We had three of our grandkids along. Our 3 yr old refused to pick up any egg that wasn't purple to match her bucket. One of her eggs contained a golden ticket so she won a large prize basket filled with kiddo easter swag. So I guess her strategy paid off.

Thank you, greg. It is becoming a pocket regular for me.That single spay blade is such a cool knife, Paul. I'm glad I got to see, admire and handle it at the knife show just after you got it and before I left you fellas there.![]()
Thanks alot! Mine is laying right here in front of me. I don't know if I want to put it in my pocket now.Back at work this morning for an incident and then on to another. Had the Bunny knife with me the last 2 days. Hoping it’s not what’s bringing the bad luck….View attachment 2146341
Just carried these 2 the last couple of days while doing some yard cleanup .

That is fascinating information! The Lambsfoot is certainly an incredibly historic and multifaceted pattern; extraordinarily cool, too! Many thanks my friend, good point on the SmithsGeorge Mallory took a Lambsfoot up Everest, possibly even making the first ascent (I'm sure you know the tale). His knife was found by some US climbers a few years ago. At the time, they didn't know the Lambsfoot pattern, maybe they would now

Thank you very much for your kind words, Jack!!! A interesting feature of the French made anchor knife is it was named "London!"Congratulations JJ, those are two fine-looking French fanciesThe mark on the Aurillac reminds me of the faux-French marks found on some of the earliest Sheffield knives!
Great pics

Great-looking pairA cloudy gray day here in the City by the Bay. Just returned from my weekly pilgrimage to the grocery store. Took along the usual lamb and my one and only GS. Watching the Giants game later and hoping they can score more runs than yesterday.

Very nice PaulI think I am starting to have an itch develop for single bladed spay knives. Come to find out, they are not easy to find. I guess that's half the fun. This one is starting to be finding its way into the little watch pocket often. Have a nice shadow pattern Rodgers lamb to go with it today. Take care everyone.

Dynamic duo GaryMiscellaneous Knife this week has been a Rough Rider congress. I thought I was going to like a 4-blade congress until I actually tried one, and I've never really taken to the pattern.![]()

Every time I see a Churchill, I think, "Cha-ching!"
6347 is my favorite Case stockman, and yours looks amazing!
Appealing knife! Thanks. What was bleeding six months ago is pretty much not anymore, so I don't have to go back for a year.
This Marttiini just arrived. I may have to carry it at the Maundy Thursday service.

Agree with you on daughters, Jon.Thanks so much GT! Daughters are the best!
Goodness gracious that May is a looker. Love the brass on palm. You have a good eye sir!
Thank you Paul! I had lost that Craftsman cattle knife that Duncan sent me and it resurfaced yesterday. A coworker found it in his couch cushion. Waves and waves of relief! Too much undisciplined fidgeting!
Chocolate cake is a great gift, even better with ice cream!Unexpected chocolate cake for lunch dessert (4 candles, the correct number was too many to fit a 10x14 inch cake) with chocolate frosting (whipped cream mixed in?) made it a good day.
Of course chocolate cake makes any day "good".![]()
Valiant and venerable pair, JJ!

Three thrilling canoes, gentlemen!A Canoe kind of day so far this new day

Gary, I hope you and your family have a wonderful EasterMarvelous marlin spike!
Thanks for the info, Bob.
My eyes have never been very keen (glasses in first grade), but I had good news (low glaucoma pressure in each eye) at the eye doctor this week, so maybe the eyes are trying to show off a little.
Sublime stag stockman!
Glad you could find a good knife and new friends on that WI trip, Greg!
Those hailstone/damage photos you posted earlier were scary.
Thanks for the whittler props, Steve.
I don't have a Lanky turnbox or Sharpmaker, but the same idea on the unglazed rim of a ceramic candy dish lid is how I usually "refresh" the edges of my knives – probably should get something more high-tech.After complaining about my difficulty with that particular knife, I made some progress on it trying a new-to-me technique I found online, holding knife in one hand and stone (fine DMT diamond "credit card") in the other so that I can see where blade and stone meet, and moving stone against blade (rather than blade against stone that I typically do). Seems like it helps me keep a more consistent angle that way (and lots of "guided systems" move stone over stationary blade).
Thanks for the info about the pen knife, Bob; that was an attractive pair of folders!
Sweet knife; cool heron photo, too!
Here's a pic my wife took where we vacation in Cedarville, MI every summer:

Appealing knife!Which Marttiini model is that, Jer?
Even though I've vowed to stay away from fixed blades, I occasionally look at ones from Scandinavia, since they seem to be used instead of folders there. I've lately looked longingly at Marttiini Lumberjack and Timberjack.
Agree with you on daughters, Jon.
That cattle knife is a stunner; glad you were able to get it back!
Chocolate cake is a great gift, even better with ice cream!
And 140 sq. in. of "real estate" seems like plenty for 68 candles - more than 2 sq. in. per candle.
Valiant and venerable pair, JJ!

Thanks. It's a Lynx Lumberjack or a Lumberjack Lynx in carbon. An original flagship knife, apparently. I've been looking at it on the scandi site and thinking the price wasn't too bad, so when the southern e-tailer had it $8 off near my birthday, resistance was non-existent.Appealing knife!Which Marttiini model is that, Jer?
