What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Now you are just punishing me Jon.😁
Very nice.
I do what I can to return the favor from your daily onslaught of torture 😎.
Two very fine knives, Jon!
👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Paul! Staring at your 33 gave me 33 envy and I had to remedy that issue.
Both are great, but that 85 is freakin stunning!!!👌

Mine for today

Thanks Tyler! I really like it. When I started the GEC rabbit hole, I put “47 Viper/EO 85/TC 15 on my grail list. I need a new list now!

That 35 is such a slick looking knife!

Primble River and Cattaraugus River, huh?
Which is the tributary of the other? 🤔

It was only a few $ more to get one big enough to set up grow racks, and a little work table, as well as stash my tools.

I reckon the Catt river might be the tributary in my case, but, not by much. 🤣
Cool stash !! :thumbsup::cool:

Very nice Mr.P.😃. You are well prepared, but I think "ole George" beat you to all those cherry trees.😁

Jeff set me straight in my rushing to post....George it is.

There ....... I fixed history fer ya. 🤣

Just a slim Diamond 48 for Friday

"Just" doesn't seem to go with that knife ....... tons of character !!!😍

Thank you.😊

Great photos! That lock is really cool, too! You and Jack talking about Keen Kutter axes the other day reminded me that I needed to get mine out and take a pic with my new-to-me Keen Kutter daddy barlow.

That Grandaddy looks really fine with your Hatchett. I like the Made in U.S.A. addition to yours. Most of the ones I have seen don't include that ..... I wonder which came first ?🤔

I passed on a KK Hatchett like yours or mine back around 10 years ago. I saw it in a glass display case at an antique mall. Every now and then, it would pop back in my head and I regretted passing on it. So .... thank you for reminding me !😊

The handle on mine was quite ugly and must have belonged to a painter ..... old chipped orange varnish, red, green, beige, and blue paint all over it ... and a lot of white specks. The original wood underneath all that turned out to be quite nice.

Wow! Really cool Mr P  :)

Thank you Mr. Jack. :thumbsup::thumbsup:😊

Barlow loose in the pocket (only when they are deep though).

Still love your C.J. Barlow !!!😍😍😍😍😍

As a fan of “modern traditionals”, that one and the Vampire Jack (I think it’s called) are the two patterns from JWK that really pique my interest.
I agree there are only a few of them that I could see myself buying. I also like the midnight jack but I like my 93 ram foot even more. 😉

Yes, it's a caplifter. Klaas (aka Kissing Cranes) make some Canoes with a caplifter instead of the pen blade. They call it Beer-Canoe. They use the typical caplifter from Solingen, but cut off the tip to make it fit into the canoe. It's one of the worst caplifters i've ever used, but it works.
A nice weekend to everyone.

Toting a couple of ebony covered slicers today. :)
Many thanks JJ, you too my friend, those two ebony beauties pair very nicely :)
This pair of Frank Buster Era Fight'n Rooster Stockmans. Is 8 blades in the pockets too many for the weekend?

My first sheath or pouch or what to call it - I wanted to make something small not to waste leather on my first project, so I decided on a peanut pouch 😊

I tried out basic wet forming and tried to learn from this YouTube channel called Aleeknives.

… so I guess this will be today’s carry! At least now it will not go through the holes in my pockets as easily!

Shout out to David Valdivieso at slip joint spa for polishing the satin finish off the bolsters and ebony, adding rat tails to the bolsters, and removing the etch. He does great work.
A very satisfying aesthetic upgrade too:cool: Don't care for matte finish on Ebony, looks too dried up charcoal like and a Rat-Tail is never out of place- except on a live Rat !;)
