Thank you kindly Bart. Must say, that's one of the nicest modern barlows around.
Thanks guys. I’ve been very impressed with it.Those Boker Barlows really turned out nice.
It’s funny you bring that up. This past weekend my son and I were in back yard skating. As we were sitting on the deck of the half pipe, a rat kept coming under the fence from the neighbor’s and would just sit there staring at us about six feet away. Any sudden movement and it would run under the fence and come back a minute later. I was sitting there the whole time thinking “I really need a sling shot right now”. I’m pretty sure I would not have felt bad killing that rat. Also pretty sure I would have missed it if I had a slingshot.Happy plinking, Jack!
Your slingshot reminds of an old memory I have. When I was about twelve years old I'd head up into the woods behind our house. I'd have my Old Timer, Prince Albert in a can stockman (a gift from my dad), some BBs and my slingshot. I'd plink at most anything I saw.
One day I spotted a Chipmunk sitting on a limb maybe 20 feet away. I took my shot, he dropped to the ground, jerked a few times and passed. A head shot. Total dumb luck. I dug a hole and buried him. I felt pretty bad for days. Some things you never forget. That was my first lesson in "don't aim at anything you don't want to kill".
Sixty years later, I still have the stockman but the slingshot is long gone. I put birdseed out for the chipmunks.
It's a cheap hobby Bob, and a lot of fun!I may have to get into this plinking activity.Plenty of time on my hands and over a million acres of pine barrens.( most of Southern New Jersey is in the national pine reserve).
The least he deserves!Hmmm![]()

Colonial/Imperial/Schrade of the Week is a Chinese 61OT; I think they call it "Slim Premium Stockman" (not a very creative name, but a lot more informative than many Old Timer model names like Blazer, Wrangler, and Landshark):

Thought this end view of my usual Case is a good view of Case’s nice work. The end is flush and smooth, no sharp edges, just very clean, well done workmanship. Nice to see America still turn out quality. We’ve got some good left in us yet.
