What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The Rambler is my favorite 58mm Vic so I too would really like to have a "Star" model.
BTW, your Pony Jack looks like a wood carver's dream.
Hope all is going well for you r8shell.
Thanks! I used to carry a minichamp on my keys but it has so many tools, I'd have to fumble with it to find the one I wanted to use. The rambler is a good halfway point between that and the classic.
Looking good Rachel :) Your sig line always makes me laugh! :D :)
😁👍

Discussions of big, heavy Electrician Knives prompted me to carry this Colonial Frankenknife that Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund modified and sent to me a while back. It's a beast!

r8shell a Rambler was my key chain knife for years. A short time back I lighten my keys and began to pocket carry the Rambler. I find the tools set essential. Rarely needing my second knife (almost always a traditional) I began to exclusively carry either a Rambler or Classic. I prefer the Rambler because the blades open without fob or key chain interference and also a bit thicker handle makes for a more secure grip.

I see a day coming when the Rambler can be back on the key chain and I'll likely carry two knives once again. Until then the humble 58mm SAKs are doing very well.
Your Frankenknife may be a beast but it's a cool beast.

One thing that’s so appealing about Swiss Army Knives is the vast array of choices of tools ~ the very definition of function over form. But that creates the angst of thinking the one with the tool you need is in the cigar box instead of your pocket.
I’ve rotated back to the Wenger Handyman, which combined with the Esquire (same tools as the Vic Classic) on my spare keys, has a good variety of tools. Of course, that makes it a bit of a lump in my left front pocket, which rules out my yoga pants. Sigh.

It’s good to see that old Frankenstein knife again, Rachel. I had gone on an ebay hunt for badly modded and otherwise abused Linesman/Electricians. As I recall, that was one of them. Someone had ground the screwdriver blade into a crude clip blade, and the hawk looked like it had been “sharpened” on a concrete sidewalk.
I hope you find something it can cut for you today, and it doesn’t throw your back out.

After hearing of the harassment you’re getting while out walking, bothering noone, I’m wondering if you’ve reconsidered totin that old Fabrique Nationale 12 g. today. Maybe Sicilian style ~ on a sling over your shoulder?

I grabbed these two for Tuesday. :)
JJ a very nice duo for your carry today.👍🏻
A little Cat Whittler for Wednesday riding along with this week’s tools
