What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Being away from home does not necessarily mean one must be without a knife or two, or three... or more.
When traveling, I usually leave my Buck 112's behind and drag out my Buck 442.

I'm nearly never without my knives, and the beach is no exception - I don't go into the water over my ankles, so all is good.

When going places, I usually take along a fidget spinner in the form of an older knife that needs a little polishing work done. Along with another that I will post later, this little Colonial jack made the cut this year. I'm afraid the pitting is permanent, but I've been able to get the knife cleaned up pretty well with only a worn out Miracle Cloth and an old cotton, no-show, crew sock. I'll now see if I can get a working edge on it with the Buck Mini-Crock-Stick.

For a Colonial, this is a very well built knife. It walks smoothly, talks clearly, and stops halfway in a dignified manner. This one has been in my watch pocket, along with my usual Buck Redbone 303 Cadet in the front pocket of my shorts since we left home. It may even see some pocket time upon our return home.

Monday carry ready to go

I've always been a believer that a SAK should be red, but I confess, I'm warming up to that green. Nice looking Case too.

I keep meaning to carry other things, but this trapper keeps elbowing its way back into my pocket. It is permitting me to carry other additional knives, but not permitting me to leave it out entirely. Even when I post other things, the trapper has ended up back in my pocket nearly every day since it came home with me.
<whisper> I think it may just have separation anxiety. </whisper>

You are brave taking Calamity on the water. So is it fish for dinner?
We layed into them pretty hard. Calamity made it without a scratch believe or not.

My mom is the major fish eater in my family. Im 50/50 on it. She will certainly enjoy the days catch this week.

Maybe it's just part puppy, it's as handsome as a puppy. I have a Buck Redbone Cadet that acts that way - always welcoming the stranger but never giving up its pocket space.

FB/instagram etc. reality= the sun is out,I look great and nothing ever goes wrong 😆

Real reality I was given two chunks of wood last year that I can barely move, I didnt realise they where (Johnny) Rotten.

So been trying to get rid of them for ages I tried setting them alight,no go.
Then waited till the sun dried them out,its England it kept raining just after they started to dry.
Even my new saw is struggling to cut them,I removed 2 small bits which took ages and my hand is killing me.
Maybe I should put them on ebay? for sale rare wooden trunks first to see will buy 🤣🤣🤣

I also found I had left my favourite Army issue pliers outside in the rain and they had started to rust 🤭

Yep however old you get you still make mistakes. 😁

Still it’s chicken Kiev (showing support) and French fries for tea tonight and I’m still alive (just) 😁😁😁

Forget about the saw... those wood cookies make excellent knife photo backdrops. My old high school buddy recently sent some 2,000 miles for my photo backdrop collection.
