What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today was my daughter Scout’s third birthday, so I was carrying the #15 Nifebrite that I had with me the day she was born.

We went out for breakfast, then took her to a little local toy store that our girls love so she could pick out one gift for herself (sort of a birthday tradition we started on Eleanor’s last birthday). We took Scout to her first movie in a theater (The Super Mario Bros. Movie). She did great and enjoyed the movie. This was the first year we didn’t go to the zoo on Scout’s birthday, but we did go yesterday, so… 🤣

As always, here is Scout’s “birthday knife” photo recap, along with her new pic from today.

Awesome pair Mr P, that bayonet is quite a tote! When I was a kid, there were bayonets from that period, all over the place, I don't know what happened to them all, but sadly a lot of them probably got chucked in 'amnesty bins' or sent for scrap :( There were two under the table my grandmother used for kneading bread, casually tossed there :D My great grandfather had brought them back from WW1, and my dad and uncle fenced with them as kids. When their old house was demolished, they left virtually everything behind :( I hope it serves you well my friend
Thank you Mr. Jack and I like that Joseph Rodgers you toted around today.
I agree with you about the sponsorship. 😊
Many thanks, perhaps we can get a campaign going in the slingshot thread! :D
Cleaned and stained our deck last Wednesday and Thursday, and then put the furniture and rug out today so I'm ready for the weekend.

Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

Very cool cover for your lovely shadow Lambsfoot; the patina on your Boker keeps looking nicer every time I see it! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Monday tote for me. :)
Many thanks my friend, that's a very handsome pairing, as well as a practical one :)

Looks like Scout had a great day Barrett, great pics buddy :) I can remember my third birthday, in some detail! :D

Carrying a William Rodgers Lambsfoot today, and something different for Random Tuesday, a Romany Churi knife (or Peg Knife), made from an old Croisdale (of Leeds) table knife

Scout is a darling. Always enjoy seeing the family outings, Barrett.
Neat easy open

I was thrilled yesterday that the solution to Wordle was "canoe" (even though it took me 3 guesses to solve it: SANER/DANCE/CANOE)!:thumbsup: 🤓
My canoes for this week are a Rough Ryder damascus with cinnamon stag bone, and a black smooth bone Colt canoe (thanks, Mark):

Happy Birthday Scout! What a treasure! I love the connection she will have with you and her knife. I love being a girl’s dad too 👍🏼.
