What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Clutch, I can certainly see why it is your phavorite; it's really knice.

I'm going to carry the nifebrite boy's knife today. It hasn't had any opportunity to develop any staining yet. The acrylic has a great feel to it in the pocket, so smooth. I like the thickness of the two blade knives, but don't like the way the master nail nick is hidden behind the pen, so I prefer to just pick up the single blade model for carry. That's why I like the 66 jack and the Case Texas jack; the master is in front of the secondary and the nick on the secondary is on the pile side and I can get to both nicks easily.

Maybe I'll break down and take some pics today. Weather is nice, but windy. I hope everyone enjoys their family get togethers today.

In the meantime, here's a photo of my first boy's knife:

It is a thrill to see so many GEC pattern #15 knives going into pockets. Especially my TC Barlows of course!!
It is a matter of much conjecture, when one produces new knives, how many of those knives actually perform the jobs they were designed for.
I certainly hope everyone uses a Barlow once in a while!
Olde Boiley still rides with me, despite a little chip it has gained in faithful service!

I hope every one has relaxing and reflective day today. Remembering what has gone before, enriches what we do next!

Thanks Clutch, I was blessed to win that one in Chiefs GAW, and being as Duncan broke it in and Chief continued its use and carry, it would be a shame to not continue to use it.

Charlie, excellent post sir:thumbup:

Kris, that Bob Crowder is spectacular, looks like the sheath gives full coverage to that beautiful handle.

Today during work, my Buck 303 was with me... great little knife... :D

but when I came home from work and opened my mail box - I found an envelope from akadave2. The package went the whole way from Anchorage, Alaska to the Bavarian Highlands and it contained the win of his GA, I´ve chosen some time ago. It needed some time, but it finally was here. :) The GEC #25 with horn handles... what a beauty. It threw out the 303 of the pocket and sits in there.

Peanut from Mark (totaldbag) and a rather strange beast: Clauss swell center jack, of Case origin, perhaps?
it's hard to see due to the picture being over exposed, but the peanut has begun to develop a lovely rainbow patina.

Here's a bit better shot of the clip blade on the 'nut

Thank you Duane, and indeed the sheath does give full coverage, seems to be a staple of Bob's fixed blade sheaths, and it has definitely saved a few bangs and scrapes over time.

That's a sweet one Brett!

Attila's slipjoint today. I'd be curious to know people's thoughts on brass bolsters. The reason I ask is because the blade on this knife is rock solid and i was wandering if, when peening, the softer brass helps to make a good, tight mesh with the steel pivot pin. Heck, you don't find many 110's coming adrift!
