This one’s been a constant companion since I got it. Have a great day everyone. 😎👍View attachment 2204396
Nice. How long has it been, and how long until you switch?
Well, those are sweet!
I looked up the definition of “prestor”, and found a bunch. You probably didn’t mean “anatomy of a vein in the neck”…

If you ever decide to get a new Forum handle, Vince, may I suggest Trapper John?
Made a trip to town yesterday with the usual stops, posted a package to San Francisco, CA and as I said I would, I only carried Bunny #525 with me. It's a good knife to carry for luck. If I add a 5 and a 2 I get lucky seven and if I add em all I get boxcars twelve. Well, all that came in handy because I turn eighty in August and my drivers license is up for renewal. I stopped at the DMV and asked when I would get a Notification for Renewal. There wasn't anyone else except the clerks there so one of the gals filled out my application for renewal for me on her computer, administered the written test, gave me a vision test and promptly renewed my license. In and out of DMV in less than an hour. Who'd a thunk it!!!??? Off to town again in a bit with what else but Bunny #525

it wasn’t the knife, my friend. It was your friendly smile.

Hope you feel better ASAP, Jeff, and if it's COVID, prayers that it's not the long-haul version.
Really like that Sodbuster/asparagus photo!:thumbsup::

Thank you, Gary! 10 days and counting. 🤨
I’ve been spending my days scooting down the garden paths on my butt putting out my tomatoes. Sun hat, of course, but I think the sun is helping bake the crap out of my lungs. And lots of water!
The asparagus is from a bed I put in 20 or 25 years ago, it does not produce very well, because some walnuts have grown up around it, and asparagus doesn’t like shade. I plan on cutting some down, but in the meantime, I put in another asparagus bed out front using seeds, and after a couple of years, when I can start cutting spears, it should produce well.
These two for work today.

That’s cool.

I thought I had posted this pair yesterday, but I scrolled through all of the Thursday posts in this thread and can't find them. Recently my mind can no longer always distinguish between my plans and my actions. o_O :( "I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. Oh, Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood."

So, a day later than intended, I'll post my Case Knife of the Week, a chestnut jigged bone CV Sodbuster Jr, and my Colonial/Impererial/Schrade Knife of the Week, a little serpentine jack that my best guess claims is a Colonial.

As long as I'm here, I might as well make my Friday post, too.

It's "Prester", not "prestor". Prester John was a legendary king and priest ("prester" means "presbyter" or "priest") during the time of the Crusades. I think "Trapper John" was my first choice for a handle, but the forum software did not allow it for some reason. Maybe an old member had that name. So tried a couple of others, and "Prester John" was allowed. He is referenced in one of the Indiana Jones sequals, I believe. Here's a pic I found:

Was going to use this as my avatar--and may have for a couple of days--but went with John Wayne, who has no connection to Prester John. I'm used to it.

This has been on my radar for quite some time. They just don't come around that often in CV. This one is from 2011. Thought I wanted a single blade, but think this was the right choice all along.
Tony Bose knew how to design a great knife. Case did a superb job on these. Fantastic walk & talk. Pulls are perfect. I noticed Tony's signature Pen blade shape that matches my Case/Bose Lockback Whittler.
Have a great weekend everyone.
